Great tool for the price

I bought the torch to assist with some plastic welding, but have found a couple other uses for it. I will be trying it on a wheel bearing race this week. I code this torch for the price and the fact that Map Gas torches would be overkill for any of the small projects I do. My only issue is the on/off knob is very loose when no gas is flowing through the valve.

Trash

Just didn’t seem to get hot enough to solder a 6 gauge sterling silver bangle

Just right for my Baked Alaska

I needed to fix Baked Alaska for fourteen people. I needed this torch and it worked great.

I returned it because I needed a torch that automatically turns off when you release the trigger. This looks like other torches that do that and the description on the packaging is too vague to know for sure (it just says "trigger start ignition"), so I took a chance but struck out. The buying experience was terrible at the Goodyear AZ Home Depot and I ended up so frustrated that I left the torch on the counter and drove to another Home Depot further downtown where the employees were much more helpful and friendly, and later on the return process was quick and easy. That experience isn't reflected in the review score I gave; I think it's a good torch if that's the kind you need.

The fact that you can tilt the bottle and still have consistent flame is necessary for just about any job you do. That is the benefit of this handle as opposed to the basic one. There are times when it doesn't keep the flame consistent, but overall it does the job.

Wish it had momentary on functionality. Currently you have to open the gas, spark, then it runs but you have to close the gas knob to turn it off. Other similarly priced models I’ve used in the past work while holding the igniter button down then stop when you release which is preferred.

Didn't last

Bought it less than a year ago for work, use it on a daily basis, worked great for 7 months now it leaks & is worthless. They tell me that I'm supposed to take the gun off the cylinder when not in use (which means every day) and if I didn't do that I shouldn't expect it to last!! (Customer service was unpleasant too btw. And the moment you mention that the gun leaks, they TELL you that you didn't take the gun off after use and that is the cause of the problem, period.)

TS3500KC Wont shut off !

Well, the flame control and cone flame are exactly what I was looking for. You do have to turn the control know almost all the way open to light then adjust flame accordingly. The problem is it won't shut off !! The first time I went through an. Entire new bottle of propane. The second time I used it I noticed there was a little flame that would not go out no matter how tightly I shut the know off. I had to remove this Bernzomatic

Just what I needed for my garden

Needed a torch to cut holes in a weaved weed protective cover in my garden. So being able to cut at any angle was important to me, plus not axing to carry around something to light it was also a plus. Did everything I needed it to do, now I will store it until the next time, hope it holds it’s fuel.

I bought this particular unit because it specifically mentions its ability to work while tilted. So far, it works just as advertised.

Poor construction

The threads on the supplied tank were at angle and made attaching the torch very difficult. Very flimsy plastic enclosure.

Rubbish

My trigger never worked great from the beggining and now will not stop gas flow at all. I have not even used an entire gas canister yet.
