Very comfy and substantial chair. It's beautiful as well as practical. I have two of these in my office. They hold up very well after a lot of use and I would definitely purchase again.
This chair is really comfortable and helps me with my posture. I typically to not get up much when I work and currently use this for my home office. It took about 15 minutes to put it together and the instructions were very easy to understand and follow.
Very comfy but did not last long
I have owned this chair for about 18 months. It was fairly easy to assemble and very soft and comfortable. BUT....I weigh about 200 pounds and I tend to sit at the front of the chair when I work...I don't sit back in the chair. Well yesterday the entire left side of the chair complete broke into pieces. That side piece is not very thick, only about an inch of plastic.........the chair is now useless because the front of the chair sags. Bummer. Nice chair but cheaply made
Exactly what I wanted, Built Strong, Good Posture
After nearly 9 months of use, this chair has held up excellently! Pros: I am 5'9 (when I purchased the chair, I was about 230 lbs). After non-stop use for approx. 9 months, this Boss Modern Executive Conference Chair has shown no signs of wearing out or slowing down. The 3/4 back is perfect for my needs and the lumbar contour has been fantastic. I haven't felt the need for any additional support, but the seat is deep enough that a pillow could be added without hassle. One of the biggest reasons I chose this chair was the back angle. I prefer a near 90° and this chair delivers! It has shown no sign of budging or bending and has been incredibly comfortable (for me) for long hours, day after day. The pneumatic piston has not failed in any way and the lean-lock still functions perfectly! The materials here won't win any awards, but all of the metal feels sturdy and strong. The "leather" has not peeled or worn in any significant way. It's easy to clean, but gets warm on a hot day (as expected). All the screws feel substantial and study, and nothing has stripped or worn out. Cons: Like many chairs, tilting is sometimes squeaky. When you sit down, squeaks might also be heard. However, the squeaks are not constant and they're not exceptionally loud. Plastic washers (not included) and pivot lubricant (not included) could help stifle it, but I have found no need so far. The bottoms legs of the chair are one piece and appear to be stamped from a single sheet. This means the underside is hollow and that the metal comes to an edge. This edge has been smoothed and I've felt no burs or felt any danger of cuts. While the metal feels far more secure than plastic, it's also just as unforgiving; on the few occasions I have stubbed my bare toes, the thin metal definitely didn't feel nice. My chair has developed a slight 2-3° diagonal rock, even when locked. Best I can tell, this is is not from the frame, but from where seat frame meets the piston. This is not ideal. But, after months of shopping around for chairs, I don't imagine many chairs around this price would fair much better. Conclusion: Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase! More than anything, I feel like this chair will last me several years. The materials and build feel sturdy, it was easy to put together, it's not too big or bulky, and it's been perfectly comfortable for almost 9 months straight! Less
Love as our new conf room chairs!
Recently purchased 17 of these to replace our very old conference room chairs. We compared to a different Boss model and a few others and this one won the vote amongst the office. Since we received, assembled and placed them last week, I've gotten numerous compliments.
The chair is pretty but not very comfortable. For starters, you can only adjust the height, tilt and the stiffness of the rock. The tilt does not lock into place at any angle which it should because the seat is tilted slightly forward and it feels a little like you are sliding out of the chair. You can either lock it forward or unlock it to lean/rock back. Even the lean back motion is limited in range and does not lean back as much as other chairs so that feature is usless...basically, you can move the chair up and down and the rest is usless. The stiffness of the rock on the chair is rather stiff as well even when dialed all the way to the least resistance, position. One more issue is the limited range of up and down...I wish the chair came up a little higher. The cushion on the seat is just ok. I ended up putting a pillow on it to raise my height and add more comfort. I am 5'6" and 160 lbs and I buy chairs all the time for employees at work for 12 years now so have extensive experience with office chairs. This one is a pass in my book unless you buy it just for its looks. The price is "not bad" and the material is a true white for for that "it is a winner" but for comfort and adjustment options I give it a "needs much improvement" score. Less
Nice chair, the arm part of instructions was a little confusing but figured it out, it did have a hole in the leather at front of seat hopefully wont get worse. I didnt report it only because you cant see the hole once chair was upright and I just needed a chair asap. The edges are a little lumpy as you can see from the stuffings. So its a functional comfy chair and looks nice
I would not purchase this chair again, it is very uncomfortable. I have had it 3 days and there is very limited padding in the seat. I weigh 120 lbs, so it is not that I have worn down the padding. I had a previous desk chair chair from Wayfair and only replaced because I had worn away arms, but the seat remained comfortable for many years. This will require me to find a cushion to even make it useable. I gave 2 stars simply because it looks nice, but that is not worthwhile when it is uncomfortable.
Great chair!
Easy assembly, took me about 45 minutes from unboxing to fully assembled. You need a screwdriver. Clean, bright white and looks exactly like the photos. The backrest comes all the way up to the base of my neck and the lumbar support is just right for me (I’m 5’9”). I use this chair all workday day, 5 days a week and it’s very comfortable.
Needs a bit more lumbar support.
I love everything about this chair but it needs just a tad more lumbar support. If you could adjust that it would be perfect. I have a spinal injury so my lower back is a mess. I’ve been searching for a reasonably priced desk chair that would offer lumbar support without the need for an added lumbar pillow that pushes me out if the chair. I’m not 100% sold on this chair yet and may return it. But I think it would be a great chair for anyone that doesn’t have to deal so much with lower back issues.
Love this desk chair
Love this chair! It is very comfortable and soft. It looks great as well! It is also the perfect height for my desk and can go up and down. It also rocks. It was not too bad to assemble except the bottom metal piece wouldn’t aligned. I had to get someone to push the back piece forcefully for the holes to align. But it worked.
The chair is comfortable but super hard to build. Not in therm of instructions but in terms of strength. My boyfriend had a hard time to press on some of the pieces together. Lucky me he was there because I would have never made it alone. Instruction were semi clear. and you do need someone to hold the chair when you do it. Its a two person job. Overall the chair look great and is comfortable and its a classy look!
*Update*I’ve had this chair for 7 months now. Overall it’s still looks good. But, the padding in the seat is awful. It started breaking down very early on and now I need to sit on a pillow to be comfortable. I’m sure I will need to replace it soon. For the most part, I like the look of the chair, but assembling it was a pain. It took both my husband and I to get the back to line up to the seat portion. Also, one of the holes did not match up for the arms, to put the screw in to it. It was buried under the fabric and filling and had to be dug out. It was off by about an inch. I think there is some sort of manufacturing defect in one of the arms as well, it has a slight lean to it. All in all, Im keeping it because its not worth the effort to return, especially after the time it took to put together. Less
Great chair. Super comfy, easy to put together and the grey color was as pictured and matched our hone office perfectly. We’ve had this chair a while now and after months of daily use I can strongly recommend. It’s comfy but still provides support. And the seat itself is roomy enough that if you needed more support like a pad or pillow for back issues, you will have room. I would recommend.
This chair was wonderful the first few months. The foam was very comfy and I could sit in it for the majority of an 8 hour work day and it stayed well fitted. However, after just a few months, it was completely worn out. I am only 150 lbs so it didn’t have a huge weight limit on it either and I felt for the price I should have gotten a greater length of time out of it. After a year, I could no longer stand feeling like I was sitting on a board. For the year that I used it, the chair otherwise had everything else going for it. It was say to clean and still looks amazing. Just terribly uncomfortable.
Really pretty chair and comfy. I sit in it 8 hours a day. I like that it’s big enough that I can scrunch myself up into it but also sit comfy with my feet on the floor. I am not a large person however. The adjustments are pretty basic but enough for me. It really is a bright white. It looks a little off white in my picture because of the lighting. I have been using this now for more than a month and very happy with it. Assembly would be a pain to do by yourself.
I am giving this item two stars because it is an absolute nightmare to build, unless you’re a body builder! The directions are also poorly done, and were not very clear. The step to assemble the arms was the most horrible part of all. My husband and I both had to push our body weights onto the chair to align the holes provided with the arm openings. The screw alignment was off here too, which caused our hard work of pushing the arms to align very challenging to retain. The arm openings kept popping off alignment. Both issues led us to a very challenging luck of the placement. Hoping to God the screw would catch and the arms wouldn’t pop off yet again. Our hands were in agony by the end of this build and were very sore the next day. If you’re willing to endure what I just described, go for it. After the grueling build, it is a beautiful, comfortable, and sturdy chair. Less
No, don’t buy this chair
Worst chair. I had high hopes but I was fooled by how fancy it looks and comfortable. It gave me hemorrhoids. I didn’t lose the hemorrhoids until I stopped sitting on this chair. It’s not comfortable and the seat is not adjustable other than elevation or lowering. There is no tilting or easy maneuvering. The cushion is made of leather and easy to clean but it’s very rough and doesn’t mold to your buttom. Gave me backache, sciatica and hemorrhoids. On top of that target didn’t let me return it easily and gave me store credits that can only be used in store and not online. Unfair.
This chair is uncomfortable and is made out of wood. It looked great and was excited when I received it, but It was hard to put together because holes didn’t line up correctly. Then I sat it and I was highly disappointed. It was hard and rigid. I should have known when I saw the wood in the seat and top portion before putting it together. You can’t event recline a little. I don’t recommend this product.
This chair stinks! It was really hard to put together, the pieces didn't fit. The pre drilled holes did not match up to each other, so my fiance and I had to stretch the metal arm rests to get them to fit. I let it go because we had a functional chair. After using it to work from home, I quickly realized it was very uncomfortable. The descriptions says you can lean it back, but, you cannot. Yes, I tried moving, pulling, pushing the handle under the chair.I have had this chair for about 5 months, used for 2 months daily working from home, and now the material on the arm rests are tearing apart. I wish I got a warranty on this product!!
