KINDA CHEAP LOOKING; SMELLS BAD

I couldn't believe that the back is THREE cheap looking panels, not one that folds out. Really flimsy. Not that easy to assemble, the "instructions" say it takes only 30 minutes -- not really. There are no words to the "instructions"; only drawings that could be clearer. I bought this because it said, look at the description, each shelf would hold 25 pounds.

Nice Little Bookcase

The undersides of the shelves show particle board, but the tops and sides are perfect either way. Was super easy to put together, while the instructions say 2 people, I put it together myself no problem, just make sure you use a nice flat surface. Very sturdy once put together, I put my TV on it and it holds it just fine.

No assembly guides/pre-drilled holes; cheap wood

I put together two bookcases in the past few days. The other one had plenty of guides and pre-drilled holes to ensure a perfect fit, easy assembly, and no confusion. That bookcase, twice as tall as this one, ended up looking professionally assembled. THIS ONE, however, has NO guides. Instructions are just as basic as possible, with no help to ensure a good-looking assembly. Wood (particle board) is cheap and if you don't like the screws up precisely (easy to mess up, since there are no guides or pre-drilled holes!) then the shelves splinter and break. Cheap quality. I need more bookcases of this size, but I won't be rebuying this piece of trash. Do not recommend.

Great size for small area and superb price!

I am 60 yrs old and my granddaughter is 7 yrs old. We put them together easily. I don't like the color but with the covid virus around I didn't have any choice. This was the only color available and I needed them now. I have bought 6 of them now and love the size for my grandkid's rooms and my craft room.

Lovely Bookcase Reasonably Priced

It's actually sturdier than I was anticipating, which is great because although most of my library is now ebooks, I still have around a 100 or so actual books. Th color fits in quite well with my existing furniture. Light cherry looks good with oak. Putting this together was pretty simple (I'm thankful I'm ambidexturous) I was able to do this alone using my bed to hold the pieces. I'm 57 and walk with a cane. If I can put it together, anyone can. Though I have to admit it wasn't my first time at the rodeo. I love putting together furniture. It was delivered much more quickly than I anticipated and arrived right on my doorstep. I couldn't be happier

I bought two of them and they arrived two days...

I bought two of them and they arrived two days early. They were very easy to assemble and very strong. I bought them because they were a size that would fit in a tight spot in my bedroom. The color matches the other furniture very well. They fit perfectly and look really good.

Save your money

First off light cherry is actually more oak, not cherry. None of the pieces are labeled. So just guess which ones they are. Grant it, not a lot of pieces but if they are going to label them in the directions, then label the product pieces. There are no holes for you to follow and the back piece is actually 3 pieces not a whole piece. Which means good luck lining it up and nailing it into the wood with out damaging it.

Reasonably good Light-duty bookshelf

This is a decent, light duty bookshelf offered at a good price. I needed it to fit a certain dimension and this bookshelf fit the dimensions to a "T". However, the wood is thin, limiting just how many books can fit on a shelf, and it makes it very easy to mis-align nails when securing the back-panel...meaning that the nails have a greater probability of coming in at an angle and breaking through the veneer of the shelves. Be prepared to have to do some repair with wood putty and sandpaper.
