high quality

Just received today. Was very pleased with the quality of this piece. The picture does not do it justice, it is more striking in person. The silver decorative part of the headboard and footboard makes this even more attractive, it is not real shiny, it is more subtle. The wood color is gorgeous, a dark but not black look. Had a little oopsie with the delivery as they only delivered one box, was suppose to be three, but after calling the driver, he came back a few hours later with my other two boxes. All in all the bed is well worth the price and I would highly recommend anyone who is need of a bed to purchase this, you won't be sorry.

Weak decorative head and footboard horizontal bars

The head and foot board horizontal bars are apparently decorative as they flex easily and make ominous noises when you put a little weight on them. If more vertical metal bars extended out from the center the horizontal bar this probably wouldn't be an issue.,

Solid and Stylish

I was shopping for a replacement bed for my son, and most vendors ( ******* ****/ **** ***/***** * ****** etc) sell hardwood beds upward of $$$$. This is a quality bed for the price. It arrived in 3 boxes, no damage, and the boxes were placed in my home where I chose. The instructions for assembly were easy to follow;the hardware was complete. I did not have any problems fitting the slats or the screws. I am a 50+ woman and assembled it with help but think I could have done it alone.I used screwdriver attachment for my drill. Because it is a platform bed, it does not require a box spring--one less thing to worry about. It is VERY sturdy.

This is my first review on here although I have bought several items. I felt that I needed to let you know that you will not be disappointed with this purchase.

Chrome Accented California King-size Platform Bed

Overall, the assembled product reflects quality materials and workmanship. I recommend this product, but with CAVEATS! We read previous buyer reveiews, so we were prepared for possible "glitches" in the assembly process. The shipping cartons were good, but additional internal securing and padding are needed. The wood of one of the side rail supports was split off at the corber...this required a wood glue and clamp repair and a wait of 24 hours. One of the outside finished side rail panels came with a small dent/ding dur to contact with another partr during shipping. The assembly instructions did not fully apply. The instructions referenced a platform role of 14-cross slat/rails...our package contained a rolled platform matt with only 12-cross slat/rails. Therefore the predrilled holes and assembly instruction did not match the product we received. But it was a fairly simple process to "modify" the assembly, drill new pilot holes, and to purchase and install additional wood screws to make a complete and secure assembly. The completed assembly is structurally sound and looks great.
