Not 24 inches tall

I’m pretty mad this is 22 inches tall instead of the 24 as advertised! I needed it to be 24 to sit at a work table and now this is going to cause me back strain which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place. I would have purchased something had I known before assembling. How hard is it to give accurate measurements?

Two large and two small at the same time. It’s a decent chair, easy to put together too and well-built. But it’s too short to eat woth normal height island and sticks out too far to tuck in. Better suited or a taller dining room table.

Cheap. Poorly stained. Seat backs are too upright with no slant. Cushions look solid but too much sink. Gaps between supports and frame. Frame is red and not brown like in pics. . . . . . spots

Nice enough for now.

I like the color, I ordered two of the red ones. They’re very cute for my space. It’s not too dark or bright, it’s a nice shade of red for me. What I didn’t like was the fact that one of the chairs didn’t come with all of the hardware installed (one did, the other didn’t, so I had something to compare it too, thankfully). I had to learn how to install wood threaded inserts to be able to screw the seat on… thank goodness for YouTube and Google. Lots of people said it was a nightmare and impossible for them; and it wasn’t the simplest to do. I was able to do it alone, but I read a bunch of reviewers saying they were not able to do it. It sucked, to be honest… I am open to learning and doing things, but what about the people who aren’t able and can’t physically do it? It just wasn’t cool to have this happen and that it happens so frequently according to plenty of buyers/reviewers. The seats feel okay for me because I weigh 130lbs, and I think they’re rated for 200lbs capacity… but just beware. It’s def for lighter people. Also, they’re not the most comfortable. They’re okay for shorter periods of time.

If you're having trouble getting the legs to fit, READ THIS BEFORE YOU RETURN IT!

I looked at several of the Linon counter stool styles and found a lot of mixed reviews, mostly about quality and assembly. That made me nervous, but I ordered anyway, counting on Target's return policy. I'm glad I did. The assembly pictures were fairly easy to follow with ONE EXCEPTION. I suspect that exception might explain why some people had trouble assembling it and eventually returned it. Thankfully, there is a simple explanation and solution for the problem. The side braces have tabs at both ends that fit into slots in the legs. Because the front of the seat is wider than the back, one tab (the back one, I think) is obviously angled rather than straight. The assembly picture doesn't give you any clue which way the brace should go, so you have a 50/50 chance of getting it right. I got the first leg on and everything lined up perfectly. Then I tried to do the second one and had the same problem other people complained about. There was a gap where the angled tab wouldn't fit properly into a straight slot. Fortunately, all I had to do was reverse the leg, and everything fit perfectly. If the company added a note to the directions and/or put a sticker on the brace labeling which end goes toward the back, I think they would get a lot fewer complaints and returned items. I was able to assemble this in less than half an hour. (Small fingers helped.) My husband loves his chair. It appears to be really sturdy and well-built. I also like that they document the 275# weight limit. My hubby is a big guy, so I'm always nervous about buying anything he has to sit or climb on.

I wouldn't buy this product ever again!

Very poor workmanship! The screws didn't work with one of the stools; the color was more pink than red; the wood frame was a light brown instead of black like in the picture; you could see where they stapled the fabric onto the wood frame. This was a housewarming gift and my daughter was very disappointed. She didn't want to seem ungrateful so she kept them. Fingerhut, you dropped the ball big time on this. I promised my daughter to never buy furniture from you again!

Comfortable, nice looking counter chairs

I ordered three chairs to go with an existing set. The first chair was very easy to put together. The second one needed one of the holes re-drilled as it was not lining up with the other pre-drilled hole. We were able to make it fit. The third one didn’t even have one of the pre-drilled holes. I called customer service and they told me to bring it back to the store. They were very accommodating and no questions asked, I got my money back.

Beware - No easy assembly.

We bought six of these chairs to replace the 10 year old chairs in our dining area. The chairs were delivered on time. While they are handsome, and well packed for shipping, the assembly for 5 of the 6 was quite difficult due to the pre-drilled holes in the seat that connect the back post and back legs did not line up with the inserts that connect the 2 parts together. The holes had to be modified with power tools. This added another 1/2 hour to the assembly of each chair. Not to mention the power tools needed to significantly

Decent barstools for a decent price

I purchased these barstools primarily for the color, and they did not disappoint. It was described as a dark red, but I was afraid it was going to be more brighter... but luckily it was not. I'm very happy with the color. One of the seats had some scratches on it when I took it out of the box, but it wasn't horrible. Putting together was a pain, the pre-drilled holes didnt line up great and you almost thought you were going to break the wood. Overall however, nice barstools at a good price.

I read reviews online that had complaints regarding the screws and holes, the didn’t match, difficult to assemble. Well I had the same problem. You mass produce these things without making sure the hardware will fit the pre-drilled holes making for very difficult assembly. Poor quality control. Thank goodness my son is handy, has construction knowledge and tools. He was able to put the stools together. Time will tell if they hold up. They do look good and feel sturdy when sitting on them.

Not Just Uncomfortable ....

We just received three nd assembled three of these. What a joke. We learned our lesson. You get what you pay for. The screws that came with the stools broke -- ALL of them. Once we did get the stool assembled, using our own hardware, we sat in them. What a surprise. These are the most uncomfortable stools you can imagine. The back is completely straight which makes your posture when sitting in these very unnatural. The seat is a bit short, too. I'm 5'5" and it's not comfortable. It will be worse for anyone taller. Lastly, the color. It is not at all like pictured. We read the other reviews commenting about how the color is different from what was pictured so went into this purchase with our eyes wide open. However, the color is even worse than expected. It's sort of a dull clay/brick color. Rather than paying return shipping we'll just try to get rid of these locally or will donate to a local charity. Recommend you invest more in a stool that is built for an average size person.
