picture doesnt match product

Thinking about returning because i cant get ahold of company. Already put together then find out there are 2 missing planks for cds!! There are supposed to be 9 planks according to the picture. 2 are for structure and the rest are mobile. Nope!!!

Nice quality overall. Feels solid and looks great. Love the locking mech. Don’t like the middle pillar that can get in the way. Other wise like it very much

Media cabinet

Not worth yhe money it was damage from delivery and the second they send me part was damage and alot of parts right also some strew parts wasnt all there i wish they give some of the money back.

Recommended media cabinet

The media cabinet arrived in two boxes, it was well packed and contained all the required parts and hardware. The assembly instructions were well written and all parts are clearly marked. The item took a few hours to construct, the cabinet is strong enough to hold my all my cd collection (700+). The design and layout allows the owner to store CDs, DVDs or both. The door lock might not keep out thieves but it will prevent the doors from opening. Due to the narrow profile and weight of contents I suggest anchoring the cabinet to a wall. The additional interior lock was deemed unusable due to it's position inside the cabinet. Additional shelves would have been nice however the unused space in the cabinet bottom perfectly fit my CD box sets. The cabinet might not win awards for aesthetics but, it allows me to store a lot of CDs in a small cabinet. I recommend this product!

Doors will sag

I have 2 of these for the past 4 years. The doors will sag and will have a big gap in the bottom and tight on the top. I have to hold the doors shut with rubber bands.

Buyer beware

Item looks great in photo and horrible in real life. Should be $50 tops, was missing pieces and had to return

Love this media cabinet, it’s not as huge and bulky as expected. Great storage for my dvd collection. Made strong and sturdy. Great quality. Easy to put together but time consuming. Ordering another one.

Lots Of Storage In A Compact Space!

I have a lot of DVD'S and CD'S. Music, movies, exercise, instructional videos. This hold them all in a nice compact cabinet. It is easy to put together. I did it myself and I'm a senior.

Absolutely terrible, cannot believe this is a Prepac item

I've purchaed Prepac brand shelves and cabinets before and I just cannot believe how bad this item is. There's scratches, scuffs and marks on nearly every single piece- far beyond any small scratches meant to be handled by the included marker. There's also some red paint on one of the doors, no clue from what. The packing foam they use, damaged a few of the pieces and cannot be fixed unless you plan to repaint it. One of the pieces even split while I was nailing in the backboard. Ridiculious that something of such low quality can be sold for $300.

Missing hardware

After receiving the missing screws after a week, I final put the cabinet together. I was very upset at first because I had to wait, but it came together great.

Everything went well…..until the doors

My husband bought this as a birthday gift for me. Instructions are good and easy to follow. After 2 1/2 hours we were ready to assemble the doors. The process went downhill from there. Each door has a split in the wood (one near the top and one near the bottom). Also, the holes to attach the hardware are drilled incorrectly (not far enough apart to attach hardware). My husband took pictures and will contact the company.

Disappointed

The cabinet holds all of the dvds I needed it to and seems like it will hold up, but… the handle holes were drilled very uneven. One handle is higher than the other. The cabinet has to be locked all of the time in order to stay closed. We will have to drill holes and full holes to fix it. It’s not something you expect to have to do when you pay a decent price.

Oddities, Disappointments, But Still Okay

I was concerned by reviews of this on other sites, figured I’d take the risk anyway because there is nothing else out there that stores this many movies while keeping them hidden. Everything people complained about is true, plus more. They arrived filthy; tons of crumble from the unfinished sides of the pieces plus a lot of wood glue smeared over everything (see photo). Had to vacuum and scrub every single piece. Pieces also have paint scratched off on various places (they include a touch-up marker for this rather than packing things better). A piece was damaged (see photo), a hole was pre-drilled too close to where the hinges go so one shelf won’t sit flush (see photo), they made mandatory pieces go where the shelf support piece would have gone so that whole slot is not an option in multiple places (see photo) yet they still drilled the corresponding useless holes! This changes how you can customize your shelf spacing because you end up stuck with using the slot above or below, making your spacing different in some places more than others. This was more frustrating with my Blu-ray sizes because I needed to maximize my space but it was forcing me to have big gaps. The vertical support shelf is in an obstructing spot (dead center in front of your movies, making you reach behind it), the fixed horizontal shelves are a little thicker than the adjustable ones which ended up making my Blu-rays tightly fitted above and below with some slightly bigger special sizes not fitting at all. The latch for keeping the left door closed is something you have to screw on the door precisely so that it will fit a hole on the inside when you slide it up, but you can’t know if you’re in the right position until you permanently screw it in, especially if the hole they drilled on the inside is slightly off (which it was). And sliding the latch down to open the door is so awkward because your movies sit right where the latch needs to come down! The right door won’t stay closed unless you lock it with the key, and it doesn’t stay closed in a flush way. The doors that swing open are very heavy, especially when you got your movies in them, which is worrisome for the 4 supporting hinges. The hinges I trust, the ‘wood’ I do not. This was so sloppily designed and constructed, but again, nothing else does what these do, and so far they’re doing what they should, which is to just hold movies. I don’t regret buying them, so long as they continue to hold my collection, but wow what a ridiculous design.

Decent movie storage

The construction isn't what I would expect from Canada. I hoped it would be better put together. One of the doors arrived cracked and the shelves aren't free from flaws but none were so bad that I couldn't use them. Finally got a replacement shipped. If you have to contact them for any replacement parts, don't try to call. You won't get a person, only voicemail. Go to their website and order the parts. So much quicker! Took about 2 hours roughly for two of us to put together.
