Awesome Shelves

I got these shelves to store sweaters, wanting something that looks like furniture so it wouldn't look out of place in my bedroom next to my chest of drawers. This works great for that and fits right in the corner of my room beside other furniture. It was easy to assemble. It is sturdy and looks great. I'm very happy with it.

great narrow shelving unit, BUT...

I bought this and it shipped immediately with the best tracking updates I've ever experienced. It came from Delta BC to my home in central ON. With this product everything went together as well as can be hoped. Having two people involved helped hold it steady when fitting doweling into various holes. Using a drill made it easier than using the provided Allen Key. However, putting on the top shelf needed the Allen Key due to the awkward space. We suggest (for the top shelf) using a mini ratchet that accepts hex screwdriver bits if you have such a device. The PROBLEM being experienced for us with this shelving unit is that it says on the write up that the small Espresso Storage Shelves fit it perfectly. There is no direct link to these baskets on the Walmart ca site. A general search for a product with that name did not bring appropriately exact measurements. Most baskets that I have found on line are either too wide or don't maximize all of the shelf space. I have purchased baskets from another store that fit & look nice, but do waste too much of the shelf space. Not ideal. This unit would be best if it was compatible with maximized sized baskets that are also easily available to find. (Note: This shelf unit is made in the Philippines and appears to be well-enough made. I would much prefer to purchase similar items made from Canadian resources & completely made here in Canada, even if I have to pay more.)

Good value for price

It looks bigger in picture, but compact/small in real. Easy to assemble, looks great, good valve for the price, Received shipping earlier than expected. Using as a corner display shelf in living.

Cute little display shelf.

Easy to assemble. Parts all fit well. Pieces intact and not scratched/dented/rough/discoloured. Looks as described. Only negative would be no levelling feet as my floors aren’t the most even. (I used felt underneath.)

A win all around

Looks very nice, of good quality. Was exactly as advertised. Put together by myself. Takes a bit of balancing act but got it put together in less than an hour with no additional tools necessary

Exceptional product!!!

This shelf unit is incredible!!! The materials used to manufacture it are solid wood, the engineering and design are fantastic, and the pictures of assembly are accurate and exact. I highly recommend this product.

Strictly "Meh"

There was a stain flaw and also one of the shelves was spaced slightly incorrectly, so we had to force it with a mallet (if that wasn't going to work, we would have used a dremel to widen the hole). Finshed product had a size difference on L and R sides which made the shelf wobble, so we had to put something under the foot to make it stable. We made it work, and it looks good. Quality is what I would have expected at a lower price-point though.

Expensive garbage.

For the price I wasn't expecting much... but this, it shouldn't have cost more than $20! The build was almost impossible too! After being built it was wobbly and loose and it can't get any tighter without breaking. I wasted my money. Oh and to add it was damaged when I opened it.

Great for the price !

For the price, the bookshelf is worth the money. I needed a narrow piece of furniture for a specific place and this worked perfectly. However, you may want to have a screw gun on hand because the screws are a bit difficult to screw into the piece. You need an Allen head attachment for the screw gun.

Beautiful real wood shelving unit

Beautiful. Real wood shelving unit. Assembly required and not too difficult. Great for books or DVD’s. I used them in addition to my TV Stand and they matched perfectly.

De-Clutter Your Desk

We needed a bookcase with a very small footprint for our small music office. I ordered a "tobacco" colored desk and this little bookshelf fits perfectly right next to the desk. The dark brown stain matches perfectly! It is perfect for magazines, music books, and other small instrumental equipment, which helps de-clutter the desk area. It is solid wood, not MDF, and assembles fairly quickly. Very happy with this purchase.

Good little bookcase

Nice, slim bookcase for the space-challenged among us. Fairly easy to put together (a little challenging to hold the two sides together solo), looks nice and seems pretty solid overall, although one screw just kept turning, so there is one slightly weak link.

Cute & Compact

This shelf is perfect for small spaces and due to its modern and simplistic design, goes well with a number of decors. Take note that it is much darker than the picture shows; more like a black-cherry finish instead of the brown-cherry. Easy enough to assemble, although no instructions were provided. Overall, a great little shelf!

Its a keeper

Loved this bookcase. The color is rich and beautiful. A couple of scratches but easily covered with either a black marker or dark polish--blended in perfectly. Assembly was easy but very hard on the hands. Those screws were very resistant to my demands. Though I returned the bookcase it was in no way at fault. It just didn't fit my needs for the area. If I didn't already have plenty of bookcases, I would have kept it in a heartbeat.

A little bit overpriced, but it definitely looks nice. It took me 15 minutes, by myself, to put it together, doesn't require a lot of muscle. I was hoping to fit my yearbooks from highschool on them, which keep in mind are basically the size of textbooks, but was unable to fit them in it upright because the sections weren't tall enough. They stack fine on their side though so I made due!

Nice bookshelf. Didn't see any directions for assembly but we were able to figure it out. We had a tiny spot where we needed somethign like this and it fits beautifully. Not super high quality, but for under $100, not bad. No tools required to put it together - but you do need two people.

Great Value

I love this shelf. It suits my needs perfectly. Well made for the price. Probably the easiest and quickest furniture assembly I've ever done. Magazine file bins fit perfectly in the vertical space of each shelf. I've got the bottom 3 spaces filled with books and it's plenty sturdy. The top surface is low enough for display items, or I've got a small tv up there. Great for smaller spaces. Very happy with this purchase!

Leo open shelf

I'm really pleased with my choice of the Leo open shelf. First, it was shipped quickly. It arrived on my front porch. Packaged very effectively (no damage). Instructions were photos only. The only required tool was provided. Finally, it's a great looking piece of furniture.

Simple to assemble with an expensive look

I have a tiny NYC apartment and an equally tiny budget. I hate those fiberboard backed bookcases that tend to warp and thought this would be a nicer option. The material is thick and sturdy and the shelf was so easy to assemble it took less than 10 minutes. I ended up buying two! These would also look great put together to make a larger storage system - I might get the wider version once I get a bigger place.
