Color Is Way Off

I just received my order today, the color depicted in the picture is not even close. It looks grey! If you are looking for a more natural looking wood as shown here, this is not for you.

This is what I ordered, read below for what I got

BRIGHT white, not pure white, expected pure white. Mattress is just under 5" (not 6") after waiting for expansion. See photo. Too low at under 14" from floor. Mattress arrived with dark spots UNDER fabric covering. USB, outlet only 1 and on right facing side. Useless for my space. Paint job poor. Used manufactured wood for support rails and drawer. Drawer will only fit sheets or a thin blanket.

Perfect in every way and we are picky people. One of the best packaged (holy crap what a mess) items ever delivered. We turned daughters room into a work out space, she sleeps in this when she is home and she says it is very nice to sleep in.

Absolutely love this cabinet bed. I looked on many websites for a few months and made the decision to buy this from Home Depot (instead of buying the same one elsewhere in case it did not work out for us.) The quality and design is a amazing. The bed is comfortable. And no one knows it’s a bed! This one’s a definite five stars.

Perfect; exactly what I expected and well made. Clever engineering converts this attractive cabinet into a very comfortable queen size bed. It functions as a credenza by day in my office but when the grandkids come, it transforms easily into their favorite place to sleep. My 10 year old does the honors. It is taller than a regular credenza but the stationary part of the top holds treasures photos on display. It has actually turned into a conversation piece as guests are amazed. Glad I found it.

Every home should have one!

Timed it — takes 30 seconds to fully lay bed out, and 30 seconds to completely fold back up. We have it under the 70” TV in the Living Room — it’s like having an additional Guest Bedroom added to the house. Built of solid wood, everything is aligned properly and moves easily. Super convenient. Would’ve preferred a warmer color to match our darker Mid-Century wood furniture in our modern home, but the Ash is attractive and a neutral color that works very well. THRILLED with this purchase!

Product appears as it does online. Definitely need two people to assemble, which is pretty straight forward. The bed is comfortable and it fits into the room as a piece of furniture nicely rather than just a bed. One drawback - the frame does not roll out as cleanly as it shows in the video - not sure if it’s because it’s on carpet or because the glides are sticking. Either way, it takes a little bit of maneuvering to get it fully extended rather than just a single pull.

I think this bed is going to work out well. It seems to be good quality. It isn’t difficult to put together. However all the components are quite heavy, so it would be best to have two people to handle it.

We really like the chest bed. It takes up very little room when closed to. The mattress sleeps very comfortable. It is very nice to have for extra guests to sleep on. Also very easy to set up and put away.

Beautiful solid wood chest.

Beautiful solid wood chest. Looks like a piece of furniture but hides a queen size bed with a mattress. You will need two men to place the storage bottom and bed together but once that is done you're ready to use. I decided to lay down on the mattress to get the feel my guest will and not bad not bad at all. Husband thought I was crazy but he loves it too.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND -- WE LOVE IT!!!

Solid and very well made. Our model shipped almost completely assembled (just the pull out tray/bottom platform needed to be assembled and folded mattress placed inside.) Originally opted for normal delivery service but after purchase was contacted by the seller and discussed a “white glove” deliver and assembly service that included waste disposal too. The price for that wasn’t much more than the assembly service so we went with the “white glove” offered by Archic. NOTE: The delivery offers would’ve left this rather heavy and large piece of furniture on a pallet outside our condo building where as the “white glove” brought it into our home, up and down 2 sets of stairs, unpack, placenta, assembly, and waste removable. ** It should also be noted that this is subcontracted out to a company that’s local for where you may live.** We are in the Chicago area and had an issue with our local delivery company. We contacted the seller who responded within 30 minutes of our email and voicemail concerns. They were very understanding, apologetic, and stepped in to assist in correcting the matter with the shipping company. When the item arrived we we VERY PLEASED with packing it came in and the solid construction! It’s heavy and does not feel or look like thin particle board. The mattress was also thick, not too firm or too soft, and offers really good support and comfort—it did have a slight odor that dissipated after letting it air out over a weekend.My in-laws were our first guests to use it during a five night stay. Their combined weight was about 400 lbs and they are in their early 60’s. They commented on how nicely made the bed was and that the mattress offered pleasing comfort and support. They did not experience back pain, stiffness, and slept through the night. They were impressed enough to recommend to my sister and brother-in-law!There is space enough in the front of the pullout portion to store 2 normal sized fluffy pillows. The credenza is a bit taller than a normal credenza but not obtrusively so. The counter space on top easily accommodated my 15” MacBook Pro, stand, a can light, 12.9” iPad Pro (lying flat), and a pair of Klipsch reference series 5.25” 100w powered speakers—all of which stayed connected and in place with the bed pulled out and half top lid open.We do have this placed on thicker and slightly shaggy carpet and originally this made it more difficult to easily pull the mattress tray out and put it back. You do have to go slow and use a bit of effort because of the carpet issue—not necessarily a design flaw. After following up with the vendor--who is VERY RESPONSIVE, POLITE AND HELPFUL--we learned our installers failed to use the built in risers to lift the Murphy Bed Credenza off the carpet so be mindful of this. Once we adjusted the risers it was smooth pulling. WE LOVE IT!!! Would recommend.

This is a great buy. We need a bed for about 3 months, then only occasionally, so it will work out great. It folds up to a beautiful piece of furniture. It seems well made. Very sturdy.
