Additional warning

I like the product. It need to have warning between steps 16/17 not to push accidentally down while nailing the back. Both side uneven when turn upside down and it will snap in the middle if pushed down. Need to have something underneath for support. It did snap on one side for me when getting up and accidentally pressed down. Had to use screws to secure top and bottom on one side.

The bookcase made of highly breakable "engineering wood". The bookcase consists of two large and heavy parts connected by just four small (8mm) cam screw. The bookcase is easy assembled in horizontal position following to Instructions. When I tried to put it in vertical position, the bookcase has been disassembled into two parts. Scams and "wood" panels have been broken.

Highly breakable material and constructuion

The "engineering" wood used in this model is highly breakable. The bookcase consists of two rather big and heavy parts connected just by four (two left side and two right side) cam screws with ~ 8 mm length in the "wood" material. The model is easy assembled in horizontal position, When I tried to put it in vertical position, the bookcase has been broken and two its part separated. Main parts have been broken at places of cam connections. If you like this model use a lot of epoxy glue for assembling.

I just purchased this bookcase and I do not recommend anyone buy it. While putting the backing on the bookcase broke apart pulling out the anchor bolts. As another reviewer said the sides would be better if one complete board instead of two. Not sure if I can fix the damage and still use the bookcase. I am off to Lowe’s to buy some L brackets to try and hold it together. This was my first and last Wayfair purchase.

Bookcase had a nice walnut finish and was easy to put

I wanted something that had plenty of room for my book with some extra storage. When I came across this bookcase, I was immediately sold. It took about an hour to put together but once it was done, it was perfect! The shelves are great and have tons of room for books. The shelf heights are adjustable and easy to move both behind the doors and above. This bookcase was an amazing purchase!

This is not the easiest to put together. The steps are backwards. The doors were hard to get on and it’s kinda flimsy. The holes were not drilled deep enough for the hardware so we had to drill them deeper to make them fit. I love that it matches my desk and my filing cabinet. I got it on sale 180 vs 300 and I’m thankful I didn’t pay full price for this. Not worth the 300.

Came all scratched up

Item came damaged. The box was all banged up when it was delivered, but we didn’t mind as the items seemed to look fine upon first inspection. Upon starting we noticed the very top of the dresser had a scratch on the top, but we decided to keep putting it together since no one would see that part. Once we were halfway through we realized that one of the pieces that was going to be highly visible had scratches all over the outside. The piece itself was towards the middle of the box, so there’s no way that it would have gotten gray he’d up during transit, this was definitely a warehouse thing. Anyways, we’re putting it together anyways because we aren’t going to go through the lengthy process of returning and getting a new one when we already started building. Poor quality though, and not worth the price.

Nice bookcase but doors don't shut. Too wide. I tried adjusting the screws and still the same. Doors overlaps. Contacted Wayfair and they reached out to seller. Waiting for seller to contact me. I hope that the seller will send me new doors so I can enjoy my beautiful bookcase. Right now my bookcase doesn't look right. Poorly made for the price I paid.

This bookcase was the perfect height, size, and color for what we needed in my mother's recreational basement room. We needed it wide enough to cover a fixture on the wall, and it was just as wide as described. Also, the wood marbeling is interesting and it's fairly heavy. It is much more solid than you would expect for the price. Great find!
