Eve Energy - Matter over Thread works great

The Eve Energy plug has a nice design. I purchased this because it has the latest Matter over Thread protocol. Setup was easy & quick and I liked that I didn't have to register or give my email or other details. Eve clearly values customer privacy.

This device does what its suppose to do. It also help you trend your outlet usage. The app is way better than the wemo version. Only downside this brand is sold at a premium price.

Timed reptile heaters & tank pumps & monitor costs

It will be nice to see the energy usage of my outlets. We have aquariums and heaters and this will help me figure out where the big energy output is happening, ultimately to use more efficient methods of keeping our fish and reptiles warm. Easy to set up. Fast response times. Works great with automations in Home app on iPhone. Requires a thread router, we use HomePod mini.

This is the first available product I've seen that supports both the Matter and Thread standards. I paired it with Home Assistant (using SkyConnect), and it works perfectly. Power usage is reported also.

I've had a few of these. Matter takes awhile, maybe an hour, to connect. Be sure you only have one home visible to them during connection for best results. Once connected, they work fine. The Eve iPhone app displays history, iPad app does not.

Nice additional features, needs AU form redesign.

Useful upgrades from the original versions (Matter, full 10A rating, explicit to the second time logging), but the size of the unit makes it unwieldily. Notably it unnecessarily makes the second outlet inaccessible in an Australian standard double wall outlet.

Highly compatible with Apple i devices

With the 4K Apple TV and a house full of i devices the Matter format made the most sense even though it's not the cheapest option. Very easy to set up, enables all the available smarts in the Apple Home app. Very satisfied.

[Rewarded Review] Big improvment from prior gens

I have some older generation Eve Energy plugs, and this one is great. Biggest problem was latency and losing connection, but this version has hardly any latency!

I love this product! I use it with Apple Home and get Siri to turn my Xmas Tree lights on and off. Convenient. No longer need to switch on and off at power point. So easy to set up.

I love the Eve Energy. It works seamlessly with Apple Home. The only problem with the Matter version is I have not been able to add it to my Google Smart Home. It keeps giving me error messages. I assume since Matter is still a new tech it will take time to work out all the bugs.

unfortunately Matter Protocol is making a lot of products on the market seem sub par. With all the flaws I still found the Eve smart products to work wonderfully. There were hiccups connecting to my system but a few reboots and carefully reading all disclosures. My Eve thread (over Matter Only) where the confusion comes in. I have 5 Apple TV 4Ks and 7 HomePods (each version.) you must have a matter hub for all of this to work with less hiccups. I hope this helps future buyers,
