Not a true high back chair

Quality of the chair is nice and material is what I was looking for, but the comfort is lacking due to this chair is not really a high back chair. I would say this is a medium back.

Familiar Chair

This is our second one of these and they provide consistent comfort and durability. Our first one is probably 10 years old and still functions well. We find them to be of good value for the price, and prefer fabric to leather seating. It's easy to put together, though it's helpful to have 2 people (for attaching the back).

Executive desk chair

I really like the looks and the feel of this chair. I can touch the floor with flat feet and still sit all the way back to take advantage of the firm back. It really feels good on my back and I feel more comfortable while using the keyboard.

Where to begin? This chair looked fairly similar to a very comfortable one I had used for many years, so I ordered it online, to be assembled and picked up in my nearest Office Depot. It went all downhill from there. When I picked up the chair and tried it out, the seat bottom sloped so far forward that there was no way to sit in it. It turned out that the store had assembled the chair backwards, so a friend and I were literally crawling around on the store floor to dismantle it and correctly reassemble it ourselves, with the most minimal help from store employees other than giving us a hex wrench. The store manager sullenly agreed to refund me the $12 assembly fee. When we got the chair home I found that, even now assembled correctly, I couldn’t sit in it for more than 15 minutes without a serious pain in my back (and I have no back problems) from the lumbar support digging into me. The stiffness of the seat back and the size of the seat bottom also meant one had to sit ramrod straight like a military cadet; no way to relax even a little bit. So, back to the store we went that evening to return the chair for a refund after owning it for a grand total of 10 hours. Bottom line: find another chair. Your back will thank you.

Good Product

Handsome swivel mid-back office chair - in a deep red, not loud. Easy assembly, but take your time. Easy to fasten pieces backwards. Use illustrations as a guide. Good value for the money. Oh, and it's comfortable too. My intended use is light and not every day.

Office chair

This chair replaced an older chair that had seen its better days so making the change was on schedule. Changing from gray to a brighter color along with the comfort made my day.

HON Office Chair

The chair looks nice, and as it was a HON I expected it to be better than it is. The cushions are much harder than the other office chairs I tried and the tilt is so stiff that the chair pushes back when I try to use it. Not good. Might as well not have a tilt. However, since I only need a chair to sit in and to look good at the reception desk, I will give it a rating of fair instead of poor.

First Color Chair

I visited the manufacturer's website right before buying this particular chair as a replacement. As well as being easy to install, it is also comfortable and functional. Not to mention, it's also fashionable, for it comes in four colors (I bought mine in burgundy). I can also push my chair under the desk or table, unlike the other chairs in my house. So far, I love this chair.

If you want a hard chair to sit on at work or home.. this is the one for you!

I'm short

I chose this chair because I'm short, but older. I needed more seat comfort and this is adequate, but need more padding because I sit in my computer chair a lot. Wanted ease (and got it) but wanted comfort (somewhat).

Hon VL601

I was not able to try this in the store but it looked nice on-line and appeared similar to a chair I am replacing. I found the chair uncomfortable. It was a nice looking chair and I liked the fabric.

The most uncomfortable chair ever!

This is the most uncomfortable office chair I have ever sat in. I have been using this chair for a few weeks now and the seat is sinking in. So that no one will think that I am too large for the chair, I am about 150 pounds. I teach and I also take classes so I sit in my office chair a lot. When I am done working, my back and my wrist hurts. I was better off with the cheap used chair without arms that I had before this one.

If you have long legs, the bottom cushion may be a bit short. Fits me OK and I'm 5'10". Good lumbar support.

Bought a Second One

I liked the first one that I bought so much, I got another. They have very good lower-back support - better than my prior one. It has a lower-back lumbar support bump-out that fits perfectly into the curve of the lower spine. This was not available on my prior high straight back leather chair. Also, the material is fabric and I expect it to "breathe" and be more comfortable in the summer. The prior leather chair resulted in hot and sweaty experiences during prolonged sitting sessions. It has a firm cushion seating feel that I prefer to a softer, cushy one. Again, it's all about seating position support for me. We'll see about long-term structural and fabric durability.
