Buyer Beware
We were getting ready to purchase a system from these guys, but as part of due diligence I read the reviews and return policies. The reviews can be taken with a grain of salt, but this company's return policies are ridiculous.
Whole House Filters
We have city water, but when tested, the only thing good about it was that it was not hard. You could smell chlorine in the water, and if in a white mug, the water had a yellow tinge. After much research, I settled on this system. It was delivered fast. I like that we can change to different type of filters on this system. I installed myself in only a few hours. The photo shows after only one week all the crud and dirt. The filter was "snow white" and now is dingy. Highly recommend.
Quality from the minute you open the box
When FedEx delivered the box, I was a little bit worried as it was a little worse for wear; nevertheless, when I open the box the packaging was incredible. There was no damage. The whole thing wreaked of quality. The instructions are crystal clear and installation was extremely easy. We ordered the anti-scale filter system, so right now I can’t tell you if it has helped or not helped. Only time will tell if it has reduced scale. I can revisit this later. As for now I’m extremely happy with my purchase.
Gauges
The system seems to be working fine but I will know more after a few weeks. I will have the water tested pre filter and post filter. We have really hard scale water so I purchased the anti-scale filter. Everything was packaged nicely but after opening I realized that there was some kind of liquid within the plastic that it was wrapped in. I discovered that the glycerin from one of the gauges had leaked out and after installation the very last gauge before it exits the filter didn’t work at all. I will be contacting them to see if they will send me two new gauges to replace what doesn’t work. I will complete another review after their response.
Great water treatment system
Water odor gone. No more white residue. Really nice apparatus as well. This was a home run. Advice - get a good plumber to install it right, with copper pipes and quality valves for the bypass.
Does what we wanted
Our community has a water system from local well. Very hard smelly water that tastes like dirt. Ruins fixtures and appliances. So far no smell and drinkable water from all faucets. Hoping to see an improvement over time in our skin and cleaners fixtures and clothes. Installed 2 weeks ago.
So far, so good.
We had the under the sink versions in the past and liked them. This whole house one works great, too. The price was right, the installation was not expensive, and honestly I could have done it myself. Not that super complicated. We have constantly had problems with fixtures getting covered in calcium and limestone, etc. A dishwasher finally died because of the build-up. Hoping this continues to work well over time.
Avoid this money pit
We installed this in our house, then when we needed to change the filter I was unable to get my off. This product claims to be easy to maintain, but we had to have multiple plumbers come out to work on the product. When contacted the company they offered to sell replacement pieces, without standing behind their product. Ultimately we had to pay to have it removed and replaced with a new filter because it wouldn’t stop leaking. Thanks for costing us $2k to get half a year of clean-ish water. Avoid this product at all costs!!
Complete Headache
We have had this filter installed in our house for about a year and half now and have had nothing but issues. Our first issue is that the one we were sent had a defect and could not be installed by the plumber we had come, we had to return and buy a new one fortunately that one we could be installed but we were still out $750.00 in plumber bills already. Next issue is the container for sediment filter that needs to be change the most often leaks every single time we change it and that is if we can get the container off, finally after many months of not being able to change it we have another plumber come in, they also can't get the container off so my husband has to break it off resulting in us buying a new container and a new black cap. We are on our 3rd plumber to replace the black cap and they have just advised that they have tried everything to get it to stop leaking and it won't. Avoid this product at all costs.
Great system
The installation was straightforward and relatively easy for anyone familiar with basic plumbing. The polyphospate cartridge reduced my water hardness (central Arizona) from 14 to 7, and the activated carbon block makes for great tasting water.
Anti Scale Three Stage Whole House Filter
We received this filter last week. The filter arrived quicker than expected. The packaging was great and prevented any damage from occurring in transit. It was easy to install. We picked this brand and unit based on recommendations from our neighbor who has the same filter. I am sure we will have the same great results that they are experiencing!!
Excellent product but what is the filter order for a 3 stage or any stage?
I have had this system for about 3 years now and wished I had it much earlier. However, I know these filters do not drop my incoming pressure which is important even though I have a PRV in line before this filter system. This system saved me just recently when my PVC pipes (my side of the meter) decided to start leaking at the badly installed fittings (no primer was used), it showed up in the clear sediment filter housing making me first feel the city was not doing their job but I found the ground wet out by the meter and must have been leaking for a few months before I realized what was happening. I did the repairs to the PVC pipes (with primer) and that solved the problem. Now I am back to changing out the sediment filter every 6 months and annually for the other two (PHO & ACB). What I would like to know and sometimes we forget over time is which filter goes first behind the sediment filter when using any product. Currently I am using the scale filtration and I want to make sure that I install the next filter correctly after the sediment. I am currently using the PHO before the ACB, is this correct?
Greatly improved water quality!
Newly plumber installed ANTI-SCALE Whole House Filter has had a noticeable positive effect on our hard water supply here in Colorado. Of course the taste for drinking is noticeably much improved. I can hardly tell the difference from my usual drinking water source which is distilled water. Another very noticeable improvement is greatly reduced mineral residue deposits in my distiller's boiler tank thus significantly reducing boiler maintenance. That is a very welcome outcome. I was initially skeptical about how well the PHO de-scale filter would work but also looking forward to elimination of mineral buildup in faucets and shower heads. Needless to say that so far I am very pleased!

When I was looking for a filter system and shopped around and found this system and reviewed the features and it was what I was looking for, I live in the country and on a well with sulfur smell and since I installed it in the beginning of February it has made my water softer and has taken out the smell of the sulfur. And in 1 month time the clear canister with the white filter is now completely black that is telling it working. The gauges are top notch oil filled best on the market. I would recommend this filter system to anybody that has bad water from a drilled well.

I like it a lot. The water in my house smelled chlorine that after shower my sinuses where so inflamed that I never had anything experienced like that and I don't have problems with my sinuses. Taking bath was almost impossible as the chlorine was smelled in the entire house even with our airvet taking that bathroom air out that did not help. However in the summer we did not feel it as much as the bathroom window is always open but in the winter; you know. This filtering system eliminated all of that so you cannot smell the chlorine and no sinuses problems. I like it a lot. Let see how long those filters less. Also, I have to install pressure regulator as the pressure was too high in my house. Another thing just came to me. Use ether plumbers paste or teflon tape or both, and I say don't be cheap with putting on your fittings connecting to the filter system. I did not do that and need to take all a part. They say I think in the instruction not to use teflon tape but if you don't it will leak 99.9%. After re-doing all over again with teflon tape it worked perfectly. Someone may ask I said teflon past and tape but I did not use both. Yes, I did not but that was my second option if my tape wouldn't be enough as many times just leaked and I was like what's going on, and trust me I used a lot, and water was pouring out. When I put almost that thread were even like pipe (covered) then it worked. I used brass fittings and it seems like they have really sharp threats so they where cutting throughout the teflon tape and did not provide good seal with the plastic threaded holes (housings) inside the filter system. I think that paste would be better or both paste and then over that tape but I did not try that so that is unknown. Other then that everything works really nice.

So far Express Water 3 stage Anit-Scale Water Filter system has been a good fit for our family. We are on municipal water and up until we bought this system, we have a 1 stag particulate filter system...it helped -though I was surprise how yellow it would be in 2-3 months- but we still had a ton of scaling problems on our fauscets...so I step it up with this 3 stage anti-scaling unit. My neighbors have those units that cost $$$$$ and take up half of there garage but I just needed a system that help produce safe calcium free and clean drinking water.
Anti- Scale system
The Bad taste and Oder were gone for about a 10 days then they returned. - The replacement filters are over $129.00 for a set. I did get the clear container so I could see that there is a lot of "filth" in the first container the Sediment filter. Although I had read other reviews and the advertisement that it was a drop and go system to change twice a year. Not so I have ordered two more replacement filter sets because the Sed filter is completely brown and the smell bad odor, and bad taste have returned in less than two weeks. My system is on City water. I expected it to last longer.
Big improvement, would buy again
So we have city water hardness scale of "7." We decided to skip the water softer and go with this anti scale system by Express Water (I researched extensively for about a week). Here is where I'm seeing improvements: 1.) Hair - my daughters and I all have long hair and would often feel like "straw" from the mineral deposits left on it from the water - really annoying. But now our hair is as it should be. 2.) Dishwasher - this was an obvious improvement. Without a rinse agent, our dishes were always spotted, the detergent (especially the powdered) would not dissolve so there'd be residue on the dishes. I have not refilled the rinse agent in two months - no spots, no detergent residue. 3.) Shower - yup, it's not perfection, there are still spots but nothing like it was before. I still squeegee the glass but I'm not getting the quick build up on the tile like before. Overall it's a wonderful system and the customer service at Express is top notch! That really mattered to me. We installed it ourselves (not recommended unless you truly have intermediate plumbing skills). The downside is the polyphosphate filter is expensive (and my understanding, these type of polyphosphate filter are used in industrial and commercial applications and approved by the FDA), there is still small rust colored particulates that are accumulating in the corner of my shower tile.

I had my licensed plumber install it and he said it looked like a really good filter and was easy to install. Since installation I have removed my faucet filter and the water is exceptional right out of the tap. I have the anti scale model and I noticed the difference immediately. Everything was scaling, but now there is just fresh water and no scale. I have well water and I couldn't believe the size of the particles that were in my water and now being caught by the filter.

Just completed the installation of this filtration system. There were no leaks at the inlet and outlet as mentioned in other reviews. I suppose it comes down to an individuals ability to know how to properly install fittings into the plastic housing. After slowly filling the canisters and purging the air from system, I was delighted to watch this system come to life. I elected this system over some others due to some of it's attractive features. The clear stage one filter housing allows one to see how the filter is doing and validates the expense of the system. The 3 liquid filled pressure gauges are useful to help diagnose any future restrictions in the system at individual stage increments. The pressure release buttons on top are a nice touch, to make removing the filter housings easy. Even the frame is well built and attractive. With a 15 gpm flow rate, no water pressure drop was witnessed. Every thing except lawn sprinklers gets filtered water. Showers feel nicer and soap rinses off easier. A taste test of filtered vs unfiltered water is undeniable. When comparing filtered water to actual Poland Spring, there was no noticeable difference. Why didn't I do this sooner is my only complaint.
