This Dakota 283 G3 crate is absolutely awsome . My Labrador retriever feels completely safe and its sturdy and tough as can be . Worth every penny and a better choice than the overpriced competitors . Door is also very heavy duty with keys that lock , and latch on the door secures with second to none quality .

Overall great product. However ventilation is not that great and it does seem to get hot inside even with a fan on. Also I don’t like that there is no vent holes in the back.

Built to last carrier! LaRue loves the large size, the comfort I love the secure locking system. No assembly my dog stayed cool even on hot day.

Love my Dakota 283 crates.

I have had these for about a year now, and they are the best. Yes, they are heavier than some crates, but they are well worth the money spent. I like the fact they can be locked, stackable and they keep your pet safe while traveling. it was money well spent Looking to upgrade my in-home crates as well to these. plus get 2 more for my vehicle. I usually have 2-4 of my babies with me for dog shows and field trials.

The product itself is great! But I ended up cancelling the order well before it shipped but they still shipped it to me and charged me to return it.. I just ended up getting a different size but was still fine.

I have 3 and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM! Solid flat floors and very secure door. Easy to clean same great sized!

Decent

It looks really nice and it heavy duty but the black paint on the metal door chipped within a week. And shipping took over 2 weeks and they were no help. Not worth it.

Almost great

Nice sturdy kennel. I ordered the large granite color. The color is much darker than the picture. My complaint is with the door. Driving down the road it rattles like crazy. I’ll have to add some rubber stops to tighten up. I also don’t like how the door can easily be pushed out a inch or two from the top and bottom. I could see a dog pushing on it and thinking he’s getting somewhere. For the price I expected better. Undecided if I’ll keep or return. I also installed the divider for a puppy which I do like.

We have an escape artist GS who pulls in the doors. This kennel door has held her. She has tried to pull the door in but the metal reinforcements on the outside of the door have stopped it. We also lock her in with the key and she can’t pick that lock!!! Well worth the money. But beware, it is heavy!!! Our’s is the Lg model.

Exactly what I was hoping

I travel a lot with my dogs and I needed to ensure their safety. It is much more roomy and a love the sturdiness! I am enjoying it more than my large Ruffland. And I love the locking feature as well!

High Anxiety Escape Artist

I have struggled over a year with a very large dog that escapes and destroys every kennel I have bought. This is the first kennel that works. It is truly all one piece, good holes for air circulation and an excellent lock. Apollo hasn’t escaped and has actually been calmer with this kennel.

Well made high anxiety crate

Great for working dogs such as my Malinois. Don't waste your money on a cheap wire or regular flimsy crate. My boy injured himself on those cheap crates but this has solved the issue and he is much calmer in this crate. Will be buying another one for the car. I wish I bought one of these from the start..

high quality, fits in our car

We got this crate for our 45lb keeshond to secure him in the car. We needed something that was at least 25" tall but also narrow so that we could use one of the 3rd row seats in our SUV. This crate fits the bill--our pup can comfortably sit and look out, and he's snug and comfy when he lies down.

Grate Crates

Sturdy Save dog kennels with a predictable shape. Very little flex to the crate itself. The door latches are lockable and completely secure. There is no rattle in the doors. The doors are made of powder coted metal. I like these so much more that the other crates I looked at. I live in the dog show/sports world and the most popular crate manufacturer's crates are not as sturdy and have a kind of hexagonal shape to them. The Daktas are square/rectangular so not at all deceiving when loading into my vehicle.

Great kennel

This kennel is awesome. It is well built and very durable. It is easy to clean and drain. The door is great. You can push it shut with your hands full, which is nice when in the field coming back from a hunt when you need your dog to be in the kennel while you pack up!

Dakota 283 G3 Framed Door Kennel

This is a solid, well made kennel. We have been very pleased with this purchase and are planning to purchase a second. We have used ours for travels, as well as for a sleeping crate because our puppy prefers this crate over a more open designed crate we have. I feel he likes the den-like feel this one provides. He goes right to sleep in it whether at home or in the car.

Super happy with my new kennel and only wished I had discovered them before buying TKR kennel. MUCH better quality door and I like the handle area on top, as I can easily run a strap under it to secure the crate in SUV! I wish they had more sizes but am loving this one!
