Great safe at a great price.

This is a great home safe to have which is of course fire protected and waterproof. Staples is offering a great deal on this at a great price. If you’re looking for a decent size safe not too big not too small. This is the perfect one for you. Very easy to install.

Good for my needs

This is good for my need. I bit lighter in weight than I expected but fine hopefully I will never know if it truly is fireproof or water proof. Will keep important papers handy but safe.

Safe needs airing

Thought this would be an ideal safe for home use. Unfortunately, not until I opened the box and read the instructions did I see the recommendation to open the safe every few weeks to air it out to avoid moisture condensation. That doesn’t work if one is away for half the year. Returned the safe. Otherwise it could have been good.

Perfect fit for all my important documents and valuables. Inside shelf keeps it organized. Easy to program the keypad. You know that if there is a fire, they will extinguish it with water, so knowing that is is both fire-proof and water-proof is a blessing.

Received this fireproof waterproof safe. First of all it’s really heavy. Seems to be well made, lots of room for the important papers I want to store. I’m hoping very much that it works well. You can operate it with keys or a combination.

Solid safe just too small for me.

Just got this safe. I was surprised how heavy and sturdy it is! The set up instructions are very easy to follow. It took me less than a minute to set up my own access code! In the end we discover it’s just too small for our needs. Oh and shipping was fairly fast via UPS.

This is a fine fire and waterproof safe for our home, but we want to let you know about the extraordinary helpfulness and service from the Staples employee at checkout in South Portland, Maine. He assisted us in setting up the Staples app on our phone, enabled us to access a discount promotion and even checked to see if we could fit our two large purchases into our small car. There is more plastic than I thought there would be for a safe. I suppose the steel box is the important part, but the plastic handle and plastic key cover don't inspire confidence. I guess I just expected a safe to be absolutely strong and solid made out of metal.

Good but ???

This safe is good for my needs. It’s a bit complicated to figure out how to set the combination and get it to work. But once you get it set it works fine. I hope! The shelf inside to use well let judge it by a cheap plastic shelf. Otherwise I like it

Decent safe

This is the first safe I've purchased. It's made well, but the outside is plastic, so I wonder how long that lasts in a fire. It has a good combo lock with a key override. It has a good amount of room. It had a small gouge in the plastic side from shipping (like a screwdriver went into the side). One fault is it doesn't have any rubber or cork pads for feet, so it could scrape flooring.

Honeywell safe

I really like the safe and it holds my 9x12 binder very easily along with other assorted legal paperwork. I could not use the shelf that was included since it didn’t allow for the binder to stand up. The only thing that made me kind of upset is that the picture in manual showed the wrong configuration for the batteries. Finally my daughter looked at it and we finally figured out why it wasn’t working.

Almost Great

First impression was a cheap plastic handle. It feels like I should be careful not to pull or turn it too hard. I bought this for documents and such. Im not sure if the inside depth dimensions accounts for the thickness of the door electronics. I had to stand all my files on end.

Perfect for small valuables!

I bought this for my husband after much research. We are both very pleased with it. The size is good to put small valuables inside. We travel a lot so we put the items of value that we are not taking with us inside. It is easy to open and close. We have not had any problems with the locking mechanism at all. Highly recommend!

Ordered this as a Christmas gift our my son, so we have not yet opened the box. However, I had spent days and hours reviewing all types of personal safes. Decided on this one due to very good reviews and the fact that it had both combo and override keys. Also, it was neither too heavy or too light and can be bolted to floor if desired. Safe has enough interior space for all personal docs. Hoping it meets our expectations, so holding back one star until known.

Heavy safe and great features for the money.

Heavy, heavy safe - just what you want in a safe. This safe is waterproof for 30 minutes underwater and is totally fireproof. After going through Katrina, we are nervous about important documents - we lost everything, so won't let that happen again! These days, everyone needs a safe and this one meets all the requirements. A price comparison shows this item as right in the middle of all research prices. Really good buy for the money and features.
