Excellent except

I have the 18” wind chime for my GF and she loved it. The sound, build, look, etc is excellent. The only problem is it only makes sound in a hurricane. We live in the Midwest where it is always pretty windy and it just doesn’t make a sound. Only on a day when gusts were 60+ mph did it give sound. The medallion that hangs with our anniversary date and name seems to cut the wind instead of catch it.

Gift of chimes

My friend received them and loves them! We both have a question— how do the chimes sound and look after being exposed to the cold and rain or snow. I received ours at end of October and decided to wait until spring to put them out and my friend had decided the same thing. Your thoughts?
