Excellent device/filter but price is too high when sold in quantity. Should be priced at least 20% lower. Best characteristic is its time between changes and it's filtration capability and low air flow restriction.
Fit Perfectly! Does a good job.
I have 2 cats and a dog. Even with air filters, it can be noticeable.
Adjustable frame with the new units that are comin
Been using the 1900 series for I don't know. It seems like 30 plus years. I love the filter with the way it works. Was the newer systems coming in air handler size changes so it means your filter size changes? I'm only hope one day you guys will have an adjustable frame and have the same quality of filtering is the 1900 plus who seriously needs some changes as these newer units come in and the adjustable frames will definitely help. As far as I know, nobody makes a 23 and just shy of 23 and three quarters made it the same 23 and three quarters or just the spec shorter smaller. Again rub the products been with you. It seems like a lifetime and five homes around. Thank you all. Have a wonderful blessed day! Please do not sell my information to other companies. Please have enough scam callers as it is. God bless.
Improper display add or incorrect delivery.
If possible, I would not have rated this transaction with any stars. The product shows "4 Filters" and I ordered 2 products thinking I would receive 8 filters; I only received two. Before my purchase, I spoke with on-line customer support as well as had in-person conversations with store staff and customer service counter staff but no one could tell me if I purchased this product whether I would receive 4 filters as pictured or not; I was told to order and see. In-store staff thought the product may have been a web special. On-line support said they escalated the matter to the web team to correct the possible error; as of today, July 22, 2024, the item still reveals 4 filters.
Great filters for your home, especially at this time of the year {spring} and all of the pollen and other allergies in the air. This filter keeps your home air purified and odor free. The four pack is convenient for changing out your filter as often as you desire.
Long Time User of MPR 1900 16x20x1
Have used Filtrete MPR 1900 16x20x1 for 5 years and have never had an issue with fit or performance. During non-HVAC times of the year, I will run the air handler only for 30 minutes and it cleans the home air. And although the recommended filter replacement is every 3 months, I get 6 months of use so it's not high cost for what you get. It's also in a home location quick & easy for me to remove, inspect, and replace it.
Superb product for great filtration
Excellent filtration1!!!! This works great and I have been using it for years, changing the filter regularly every 3 months. Much better than the cheaper filters in my opinion that do not filter the smallest particulates as well. Since the air conditioning system works 365 days a year for me (California), I am anxious to use a top quality filter like this one. Well made and I am glad I started using it some years ago.
Why no universal sizing for these furnace filters!
Have purchased Filtrete filters for our home furnace before, but apparently, not all manufacturers know how to measure accurately. We’ve used 16X20X4 before, but when we had a new furnace installed, THEIR 16X20X4 measures out at 3 3/4” instead of 4”. Am wondering if you make a filter that fits the 3 3/4” framing instead of a true 4” depth? Would I recommend these filters?Measure FIRST; don’t destroy one. Too expensive to lose.
Best choice for clean air
Living in a restored 90-year-old farmhouse, I wanted best filter possible on my new HVAC. After trying several MPR grades of Filtrete – I've settled on the 1900 Series, changed every sixty days. Filtrete offers excellent filtration with robust airflow, and keeps allergens and dust at minimum. In my experience for the past two years – nothing beats Filtrete.
Best I have found
This does seem to catch everything. In fact, it is so efficient that I change mine more frequently than recommended. I live in an area with a lot of fine dust, so it is really a wonderful help. It does seem to be better than the others for allergies. I highly recommend anyone to try this if there are allergic, have pets, or live in a dry area. It has been a great help to me, and I personally think it is the very best for allergies.
great filters in doomed packaging
These are superior filters, in that they remove more air contaminants (potentially including particles containing viruses) but also with less restriction to airflow than many less effective filters, thanks to many more pleats providing much larger filter surface area. The downside is that 3M packages sets of 4 in flimsy corrugated cardboard that does not resist U.S. shipping abuse, resulting in crushed filters.
I CAN BREATHEEEE!
Ok so this 1900 version works SO well, that I had to buy another after 1 month. But from my research, that’s not unheard of if you have pets and a lot of dust. The filter I had before this one was pathetic and didn’t catch anything. Still, I think it works SUPER well. I have chronic bronchitis (COPD) and allergies. I noticed immediately when I put the filter in that I can breathe sooo much better!! Definitely worth the $20 imo.
Perfect for FILTERED Covid-19 washable cloth masks
When the pandemic started, we couldn't find filters to use to make masks, except at Walmart. We got the Filtrete 20x25 filters that they had and started making masks.
Keeps our home air clean
It isn't much to write about a filter. This size is hard to find and I was happy to have found it at Target. While I think it is priced pretty high I suck it up and pay the price every few months to maintain the air quality in our home. You really never know its working until you take it out and the filter is filthy. This filter gets the job done and is the size stated 14 x 14 x 1 inch. The only odd thing I keep realizing about the filters is 3M doesn't have the filter rating on the filter it is only listed on the packaging. I realized this after trying to figure out what rating was on our last filter and noticed it wasn't listed anywhere on the actual filter. the Unlike other reviews, I actually paid for this item and it was not part of a promotion.
[Rewarded Review] Really does clean out the smoke!
I recently moved to an apartment that had a tenant that lived and smoked cigarettes for 6 years, and left a stench in the walls, in the furnace air conditioner. No matter what they did, professionally cleaned out the AC unit, added additives to the paint for the walls, the smell was still in the apartment every time I walked in. I Love my apartment, but sick of the smell I broke down and went and spent $15 for an air filter. Within two and a half days, the smell started subsiding. Prior, I had put cotton balls drenched with Sandalwood on AC filter, which helped MASK the stench. NOW, I removed them to see how well the this air filter really works. I was amazed how clean the air is now! NOW, I'll go back & put the Sandalwood sent back on new filter, just so I can enjoy the WONDERFUL, CLEAN AIR!!!!
[Rewarded Review] Best Value on the Market
My HVAC system is 23 years old. I have used 3M Products the last 21 years. Our "AC Guy" has told me my choice of air filter has been the key to longevity. (Annual maintenance helps too.) For 19 years, there have been 4 humans and at least 2 GSDs--Shepherds shed a lot of hair. We use Purple (1500) 9 months and Blue (1900) 3 months a year, changing every 90 days. These filters offer greater area for filtration. While they cost more than the "cheap" cardboard filters, it saves on costly AC repairs. Increasing Quality while maintaining Costs yields Greater Value. And, it keeps my house cleaner then lesser quality filters. That is a plus with 2 German Shedders.
[Rewarded Review] Which One To Buy?
I've been using Filtrete air filters in my A/C since my house was built. First I started with the red filters (1000), but upgraded to the purple (1500) ones and now the blue (1900) version. The 1500 and 1900 versions have much more filter surface area to catch particles than the 1000 version so I use only those now. But frankly, I can't say whether the blue 1900 version is any better than the purple 1500 filter. I think it's more important to make sure you don't let your filters go too long between changes. My neighbor only changes his when they start looking like a fur coat. That's way too long and will overtax your HVAC. He's already had to replace his central A/C after only twelve years. Tip: write the date you installed the new filter all along its frame. That way you can see the date just by looking up at the air return without having to get a ladder and opening it up.
[Rewarded Review] Unbelievable Quality you must believe!
I always change my in home air filter at least every 3 months. When I do, I always utilize the best one that that brand has to offer, and I've always thought they do an okay job, that is, at the time I thought they were doing great, until I recently switched over to Filtrete. Now that I have my 1900 Filtrete in-home air filter, wow do I notice a difference! The air is much easier to breathe, there's less dust on the surface of all of my furniture, which results in me having to clean the surfaces less often, best of all, I hardly notice my allergies at all when I wake up in the morning anymore. The price for having the top of the line model of air filter is definitely worth it, every time. There is no way I would switch back to any brand that I used previously, even if I was given it for free. I have to say, this brand is worth every penny and I I'm so happy with myself that I switched to the Filtrete brand!
I love 3M Filters
Previously used the prior top of the line 3M filter purchased from Costco, think it was purple. Whenever the neighbor's fireplace smoke would permeate the house I would close everything and turn on filtered air-- the house would evacuate and not a whiff of smoke could be sniffed after several hours. But the new level 1900 (navy blue) Healthy Living filter can run for 8 hours and yet we both still smell wood smoke in house. We both woke up this morning with stuffiness and puffy eyes. What gives? I calculate it removes about about 50 to 70 percent of smoke, but not all. Perhaps 3M can shed light on what is happening with the new design. Nothing has changed in my home, all windows are shut tight (as before), and when I serviced the A/C this summer I sealed every conceivable entry of outside air. It is like these filters can't handle wood smoke like the others could.
Our House is Cleaner
I have purchased several different micro-particle rating 3M filters and determined that the 1900 is the best all around filter for our needs.
