Lasts 6 months; non-smoking; 640 sq.ft. apt

Clean; doesn't leave white dust on furniture & my sinuses. Don't buy filters w/white coating or possibly any coating. Coated filters sold by "other" Big Box Store needs to be taken off shelves.

Review for 3M™ Filtrete™ Healthy Living Ultra Allergen Air Filter, MPR 1500, 16 x 25 x 1-in, 1-pk 3M

Excellent filtration. Reduces dust and other airborne materials. More expensives, but worth the investment.

Manufacturing quality has gone downward turn for 3M Filtrete

These are supposed to be the premium Filtrete filters from 3M. But the manufacturing quality has gone down. The pleats used to be firmly supported and everything in its place. Now they all mushed down. I had to dig through the stack at ACE to find the ones that were least "smooshed". And the cardboard frame is no longer strong enough to be inserted into the furnace without crushing the sides. More like cheap paper plates. 3M must've outsourced and offshored their Manufacuring. Now they're just 2M.

Filtrete is well worth the price.....

Big improvement in air quality since changing to a Filtrete filter. I was house sitting and everytime the forced air furnace came on.....I would start to wheeze and sneeze. The old air filter hadnt been changed in looked like a year. Bought a new Filtrete furnace air filter at Canadian Tire and immediately noticed an improvement in air quality after its installation.

Filtrete won't fit: dimensions marked inaccurate

Buyer beware!! I just bought this product trusting that it was the dimensions printed on the product: 16-5/8" wide, 24-5/8" long and 25/32" thick. It is BIGGER and so doesn't fit on my ClimateMaster central air conditioner. I trusted 3M and didn't double check before taking the plastic off and trying to install it. I warn you all to measure before buying as 3M does not give reliable info! The filter is 16-6.5/8" wide, 24-6/8 " long, and 28/32" thick. That's a big difference in a tight space (and I'm not the only one with this issue). Now I have to go back and haggle to return it, wasting my time, and try to find another filter, or else take it apart and try to make it smaller. Grrrr.

The 3M Filtrete forced air furnace filter.

This is the best forced air filter you can buy. It’s very expensive, but it’s worth it because of all the tiny dust motes, particles and airborne pollens, irritants, insects and fine ash that might be in the air at various time throughout the year. After three months, when it’s time for a filter change, you will see for yourself how effective the Filtrete is.

Good filter.

I like this filter because it stops all dust from coming back into the house when furnace is running. It costs more then others filters but you get what you pay for. Just on a side not had a heating tech come to check my furnace in early fall. He told me I should use 1 of those cheap filters as there is less restriction and I asked him does he use a cheap air filter in his utility vehicle. He had no reply.

3M FILTRETE ARE UNQUESTIONABLY THE BEST FILTERS ON THE MARKET!

Quite simply the best filters on the market. If you want to capture dust mites, pollen, skin cells, allergens, or everything else in the air, use the highest number filter. It's recommended to change them every 3 months, or longer in some cases.

Filters extremely well, but gets clogged fast

I switched around 6 months ago from using washable HVAC filters to these Healthy Living MPR 1500 filters. I saw a big difference in the amount of debris being collected - these filters catch way more than washables. It has greatly reduced the amount of allergens and contaminants in our air. The problem I have is that I am having to replace them every 30-40 days. That's why I'm only giving them 3 stars. If I could get 3 months out of them, I would give 5 stars. We don't have any pets in the house, we don't smoke and there's no major construction going on near us that would stir up a lot of dirt. Nothing to warrant these filters getting so dirty so fast. I just noticed that my new air conditioner was running non-stop and struggling to maintain the temperature at 22° C. The filter had been in for 8 weeks. I put in a clean filter and the air conditioner now runs perfectly, cycling on and off every 14 minutes or so. These filters do seem to restrict air flow massively when they get a bit dirty. I would definitely say to at least check them every 30 days. If your air conditioner or furnace is running non-stop, change the filter.

Furnace Air Filters

I normally get the Honeywell Allergen Plus Air Filter FPR 7. It is in the Better range. But with the Covid-19 going around I decided to get the best! So I got the Filtrete 1500 with added protection of filtering out Microscopic Allergens, Virus Carriers, Smoke, and Odors. And I liked the fact that their Electrostatic Air Filtration pulls in and traps the small particles of cough/sneeze debris as well as bacteria and viruses much like the flu and coronavirus 19 is spreading. Also, I got a great deal with a 4 pk of Filtrete 1500 for $69.95! Buy online and fast curbside pickup! Now that is todays shopping!
