Check your actual HVAC size dimensions before buying. I live an in apartment and old brand they used fits perfectly at 15.5, 19.5, 3/4 inches. However, this brand had to be jammed into my HVAC system so I ended up returning it.

I was given several filters by 3M in exchange for this review. I had trouble pairing my original filter, so I called 3M, which led to receiving a new filter. The pairing is fairly easy, but the app instructions don't tell you that in order to get the best results & for your filter to update, you need to keep the app open, the Bluetooth of your phone on, and your location on the highest setting.

Once i got this product home and started the app i then realized that I should not have paid more for something i had no trouble with doing before! This product does NOT check your air quality! Even though the packaging leads you to believe it does! I monitor my filters regularly, but apparently all i paid for is an overpriced method of keeping up with when the manufacturer says it should be changed (NOT EVEN WHEN THE FILTER IS EXHAUSTED! ) Filtrete needs to blatantly say that this filter DOES NOT MEASURE AIR QUALITY! What a complete waste of my money!

[Rewarded Review] Filter is great...bluetooth whomp whomp

I was given this filter to review.. I would not have typically bought a Bluetooth connected filter, and I won't again. The filter is great, works perfectly and lasted about 3 months. During the time installed, I had to hard reset my phone which meant reconnecting the filter. Suddenly my filter that was at 40% was now at 100% and despite my waiting and refreshing, would not say 40% anymore. It clearly isn't actually testing the filters current state, but rather guessing based on time. Very disappointing.

[Rewarded Review] Filtrete Smart Air Filter - Great Features!

I received this air filter for free in exchange for writing a review. Since it is not the correct size for my AC unit, I was unable to try it. However, I am very impressed with the features, I didn't realize there were 'smart' air filters. We never know exactly when our AC filter is due to be changed. If we change it too soon, we're wasting money but not frequently enough and it puts a strain on the AC system, not to mention the air quality and the increase in the electric bill. I love that this filter has an app and sensors to notify you exactly when the filter needs to be changed and I believe there is also an option with some vendors where you automatically receive a new filter when needed. No more stumbling around Walmart trying to remember what size filter I need!

I was given a free sample of this filter by 3M to try. We have been using this filter for about a month now and while we always use this brand and love their quality, we really don't see a reason for the added expense of "smart technology" We keep to a regular schedule for changing our filters and are happy with the results. Having said that, I believe this is a great addition to their product line for those that love their innovative, smart products. I like that it can tell you the level of air quality and when is the optimal time to change it. If you take advantage of easy replacement buying when an item is finished, this product offers this perk too. All in all a great product but it just isn't for us.

I received this filter complimentary and for reviewing purposes. It definitely works better than a basic air filter. I will probably make it a full 90 days without having to change mine out. The product is good quality and it stands up to the test. I live in Florida and pollen has been in full bloom for a while now, but I haven't noticed any pickup in dust/allergens in my home. I will definitely take this filter into consideration as I shop from now on! Again, it's much better than the "basic" air filters most people grab, and definitely worth spending a little more for the good quality.
