This rug is quite pretty in person though not really distressed looking. It's very soft under foot with a nice edging you don't trip over. It laid flat fairly immediately and spills clean up easily. There is a muted green undertone to the black one that is quite khaki. It was perfect for what I was looking for as I wanted it to be quite 'cool' in tone. Overall a great rug for the price and feels great to walk on.

Not Black.. dark brown

Not black. It's a dark brown. So disappointed in the color of this rug. It's hard to tell from photos that this is brown, but you can see next to my black leggings, it is actually a dark brown.

Ordered runners and 8x 11 rug for living room. Color is black - you can tell from the picture with a brown rug next to the runner and our furniture. A lot of gray and beige tones. Very neutral and doesn't show pet hair. Soft and plush. We paired it with a rug pad. A good economical choice for our space. Kind of in between on thickness. Works for us but not a super thick rug.

Very flawed

I am not happy with our purchase. I have ordered distressed rugs before but this is not just stressed, it just looks like somebody screwed up in creating the rug, like it got caught in the printer or some thing. This is not as high-quality as some of the other rugs I have ordered from this company or website. They look cheap and they look like I got them in a Bargain basement for slightly flawed rugs.

It was a terrible purchase. The rug looks and is described as" Ivory" on the website of both Safavieh and Houzz. When it arrives, it is grey. According to the Houzz rep, grey and ivory are considered the same. So, I am completely annoyed that I need to send it back, and I need to pay for the shipping. So in conclusion, I will be doing all future purchase with Home Depot. They carry the same products, and offer free returns when they mistakes.

I ordered two of these rugs. One for by my front door and one by my door leading into house from garage. It's a beautiful color. Hides soil well. Durable. My only complaint is that it's a very low pile and the pits to vacuum.I need to plant one foot on the end of the rug and hold on tight while trying to push the vacuum. It's really a challenge to use the beater bar on the vacuum with this rug. But I do LOVE the color and durability.

It's always a little scary ordering a rug online as pics are often a little off from what they look like in person. But I was very pleasantly surprised how beautiful this rug turned out to be. It's under my bed under a dark brown/grey bed frame and it really stands out. I wanted something to really bring the room alive, and this rug really did it. The contrast from the deep bright blues of the rug against the dark brown just makes the room pop. Very happy with this purchase!

A keeper

I purchased the 5'1 x 7'7 this is a beautiful rug, the colors look quite different than the picture though I'm still happy with it. The gray looks green in different light, the top photos in my collage we're taken at night with the lights on, the bottom ones were taken in daylight no lights on. I love it enough that I would order a bigger one and runner to match if they had the right size, that's the only compliant I have about this lovely rug. I have been looking and looking, I'm so picky. I'm happy enough with this rug, it looks rich not cheap.. it's a keeper even though it's not quite the colors advertised..

Love It!

I had been looking at this rug for months. Really loving it but worried about purchasing one on line. I finally had to have it. I was worried about the color but the colors were prettier than the picture. The texture of the rug is soft and silky. The nap is not very thick but that is perfect for me as I wanted it to put on top of my carpet. It arrived within days. It looks very elegant. Would buy more and most definitely would recommend this rug to others. Actually, I already have.

Perfect for my wood floors

I love this rug. It's exactly what I was hoping for, something to bring a bit of soft but rich color into a mostly monochromatic (browns and blue-greys) room. I like the fact that it's a bit thinner and not heavily thick because I don't trip on it. It sits nicely on the ground. I did need to work out a non skid pad so my dogs don't skid it around the room, so I'd recommend that. The color is a bit richer than I thought it would be from the online photos, but it's still the same color cast and I actually love the color with everything else - just something to be aware of if you're looking for something grayer in tone.

Bedside or hallway rug - Safavieh Sherry Vintage-Style Rug, Warm Beige, 2'2" x 7'

The dimensions of this rug are perfect for a bedside rug. The texture is soft and pleasant to walk on, the muted pattern and colors would suit many different decors. I was also able to purchase a companion rug in the same color and style though not as long, which fit perfectly in the wider space on the other side of the bed. It is nice that this rug is available in many different sizes. And the price was right! The order arrived very promptly and it looked and worked as shown on the Houzz space. I would definitely recommend it to others.

First time buyer

This rug was my first purchase from the Houzz website. I found a rug while on vacation but our car was so packed full I was unable to buy it. I recorded the information on the rug to see if I could find it on line. I have been a Houzz bowser for a while now and received an email letting me know of a rug sale. I jumped on line and searched on the information I had saved and found this rug. It was exactly the same but it was make by Safavieh, the same as the rug I saw in vacation so I bought it. It was securely wrapped when I received it so it was in very good condition. I'm mostly happy with it except for the two folds in the rug which I can't seem to get rid of. Hence my 4 stars.

The rug colors are as pictured. The quality of the rug is ok for my purposes - for a foyer area with high traffic. The rug is very thin and definitely needs a deluxe felt pad underneath. The finished edges on the rug were not well done; I had to sew one of the corners as it was "cut". It was not worth the hassle of returning and re-ordering. This rug works as a low cost rug for high traffic areas with a high concentration of outside dirt and debris. The rug looks great; not sure how well it will hold up over time. Also there are not a lot of size options in this pattern.
