This "universal" repair kit will NOT work for Kohler/Sterling toilets.
The gaskets and hardware for mounting the tank to the bowl are wrong for a 3 bolt Kohler/Sterling toilet. You will need a different gasket/hardware kit. Lost 3 hours trying to get it to work. Called the help line and was told to submit warranty a claim, and they would send a replacement. Meanwhile, my toilet is in pieces. This product was purchased from Home Depot and information on the packaging is misleading at best, possibly consumer fraud.

Not Universal did not work without more parts
Ended up buying an additional separate triangular tank gasket specific to Kohler. It’s recommended once you open the package and read the instructions. Also had to buy a separate flush lever because the enclosed plastic one could not be bent to the correct angle to reach the flapper. Each of these items added up to more than the cost of the kit.

I had been using a different brand which was old and worn out and didn't flush well. I replaced it with the fluidmaster and now my toilet flushed the way it used to!
