Broken after 3 month

This product is of very poor quality. The automatic baffle plate stopped working after just three months of light use, which is completely unacceptable for an appliance at this price point. The telescopic hydraulic arm broke off completely and cannot be reattached. It's frustrating to spend money on a brand like Fotile, only to have such serious issues arise so quickly. I would strongly recommend staying away from Fotile products—there are far more reliable brands out there.

Right Choice

My old range hood decided to stop working without any warning, after some research plus friends recommendation I ordered 36" JQG9006 about one month ago, Seller had technician help installed two days of purchasing (installation fee charged separately). This machine is very powerful, furthermore, it works very quietly! When on level one, you can hardly hear any noise, even in level three, which is strong enough when stir frying, the noise is lower than my old one. it's easy to clean, I normally use sponge clean the surface every few days. The only thing I can't say is working life since I just brought it for one month, I heard the longest user I knew have had it for 5+ years and so far so good, I hope mine could last longer. I was told the customer service is good but hope I don't need talk to them any time soon, I think we made a right choice!

Poorly designed

We got the Fotile hood fan slant vent series after reading all the positive online reviews. We have been using it now for 3 months and I wish we had gotten something else instead. The main problem with is it’s slant design is only good for removing smell and grease if you’re using the front elements of your stove, but if you are using the back elements or if you’re cooking anything with liquid, the moisture from the pot will accumulate on the glass slant and drips down onto your stove. We checked the specs to ensure it was installed properly at the right height and it was. We called Fotile and was told hey are aware of the problem, and the after sales rep even agreed it is a design flaw, her solution to the problem is don’t use the back elements of the stove. Another problem is the height of the unit and the slant of the design, I keep hitting my head in the corner of the glass when glass flap is opened, and I am only 5’3”, so it’s obvious design for people under 5’ tall.

I was on the hunt for a 30" cabinet mount hood with a high cfm. Most models fell short of the performance I desired, and most were pretty typical in their aesthetics.

Quiet and Sucks it all in

We have had this in the kitchen for about 4 months now. Not only does it do a great job of sucking in all the smoke out, it is also extremely quite. Even our contractor was impressed by how powerful it was. You can smell the food outside the house. The light is nice and bright too. We love this unit.

bad quality

Bought one of the brand new range hood, only use once , 4 months later it not working anymore. Call for support with WeChat and they said send some one to fix it in 3 business day, in fact I don’t received any call from their technician at all. They did sent out the parts. And I call for the store that I bought and one of their technician said $150 to repair it. the warranty still not expired yet and their technician ask for $150? Ridiculous.

The perfect package for us

How I came to selecting this Company and Appliance package is kind of relevant. Our previous Range by a well known manufacturer was considerably more expensive, about the same size and had fancy display... Great while it lasted. Unfortunately, the microprocessor chip on the controlee panel went bad. Not covered by warranty, replacement board not available, sent off for repair to two different repair facilities both returned unable to acquire the "microprocessor chip".

This is a great range hood

Interesting design, that works very well, and is very powerful. The unit is very quiet, even on max airflow. The installation is simple if you follow the instructions. The hardest part is putting in a new vent pipe if you do not already have a prexisitng one. You need two people to hold it and hook it onto the wall bracket. A third person is even more beneficial to screw in the two upper cabinet screws, while the others are holding it in place.

Clears up cooking smoke fast without loud blower noise.

Installation manual is easy to follow, it is on YouTube video also. The one done by Lee is very informative. If you dont want any gaps from the top cabinet, the manual called for 16 from the bottom of cabinet, I learned that can be difficult to slide in the range hood, if the wall or cabinet are not plumb or straight. I added 5/16 that works out for me.

Powerful and quite

Pricey-yes. But when bacon cooking smells are not detectable unless you are practically standing at the stove(ok for some that might be perceived as a negative), but in an open concept floor plan house, it sure is nice not to smell last night’s dinner the next morning.

Customer Support? What's that?

Updated: After several weeks I got a new set of LED lights in the mail. Never did hear anything from customer service, but at least I got them. Reinstalling the LEDs was not difficult. I hope these ones last because the hood works great.
