Lovely but too warm for me.

This comforter is silky and plush even though it is light for summer. However, I find it way to warm for a summer comforter. I live in the PNW where nights are usually cool, we open a window, and we rarely use our window air conditioner. I am a woman of a certain age and find I am waking up too warm. It would probably be fine if you have air conditioning which tends to feel cooler.

This is a VERY thick comforter. Definitely not all season. It was great in winter and felt very cozy when our room was cold. But now that it’s spring, I will be putting it away in storage for the springsummer months. The cover is very soft, microfiber but it tears easily.

If you like sleeping bags, get this.

I read all the reviews and when people said they didn’t like the way it sounded crunchy I thought well that’s normal for a down comforter. However it’s not a crunchy sound, it’s a polyester sound. Much like if you were rubbing a ski suit onto another ski suit. That’s down alternative comforter is nothing like down. I have other duvets that are down alternative and they look and feel like down this one feels like a sleeping bag in way

Get this down comforter!

This down comforter is so soft and fluffy! It truly is like sleeping on a cloud. Perfect warmth for my mild TN winter weather. I was able to fit it into my washing machine and dryer at home so that's a bonus! Washed and dried beautifully and fits perfectly into my current duvet cover! I'm very pleased 😀

I'm in a heavenly cloud! This is the comforter I've been searching for my husband. This is what he loves for comfort. He's asleep, and I'm just cuddling this so much. So happy it's the blankie we were searching for. I'm going to order 2 more for our guest room and our RV. This is so what I dreamed of. The heavenly cloud!

We were looking for a new down alternative comforter to fit inside my duvet cover, and we hoped this one wouldn't prove to be too warm or not warm enough for our Midwestern climate. So far as we're easing into fall with temperatures falling, we're very happy with this purchase. It is very warm and cozy and yet so soft and lightweight and appears to be high quality. It might be too much for a Southern climate, but we're glad to have it for this upcoming winter in Iowa, though we may need to purchase a lighter comforter for next summer season.

Just as good as down

I was concerned at first after I saw how small the package was for this King Size duvet, but after pulling it out and letting it puff up for a day or two, it was great. This really does feel almost exactly like down and is very warm an cozy. Used it to replace a 12 year old down comforter that was worn out. Especially for the price, this is every bit as good as my down comforter and washable too.

[Rewarded Review] Full/Queen size is wrongly labeled

I ordered 2 in Full/Queen size and received the Serta Down Illusion Light Warmth Down Alternative Comforters instead. Returned them and reordered the Serta Down Illusion Extra Warmth comforters and received the same Light Warmth comforters again. I called customer care and was told that the manufacturer have incorrectly labeled this product. I'm returning them again but unfortunately JCPenney will not refund for the handling charges that I paid for both orders that I received the wrong item for because the excuse is that it's a handling charge for "oversized" item. Very disappointed!

The comforter is wonderful! It is lightweight, not stifling. However, has some bulk and feels cozy! The material is luxurious! I'm pleased with this product. I am not pleased with Overstock. The items was to arrive in 3-4 days. On day 2 I was notified the item was shipped. Day 3 it was delayed and arrived 9 days later. I won't order from Overstock again.

Love this comforter! I have always owned down comforters and after one week with this down alternative I will never go back. This comforter is my favorite ever. It is fluffy, light and very warm. It envelopes you with coziness. It makes me pine for the cold winters we used to have in NYC. It is the perfect comforter to lay in bed on a snowy Sunday with a book and a cup of coffee.

This comforter is extremely hot and should definitely not be classified as a “summer” blanket. I’m a very small person and run cold so I usually sleep with multiple layered blankets, but with just this one I’ve woken up drenched in sweat almost every night I used it (it’s winter in CA). I wanted to like it because it’s so fluffy and soft. If it was advertised as a cold weather comforter I would give 5 stars. Unfortunately Wayfair is charging 17 to return it so I guess I’ll keep or donate.

Absolutely love it!! It is so soft, cool to the touch and just beautiful. I love that each square is stitched in place. It puffs up beautifully and makes any room look great. I love the way it feels. I can't stop touching it. It is also definitely warm. I live in Texas and it may be too warm in summer. But for winter months it is definitely so nice.

So comfy! I can't stop touching the fabric. It's so soft, cool to the touch and fluffy. The first night it was a little warm. But then I realized the fibers take 1-2 days to fluff up all the way and now it's just perfect. Makes me want to stay in bed. The King fit is great. No more tugging on it to get completely covered. It's big! So pretty too. Love that each panel is stitched in and hopefully keeps the fibers in place. I'll have to see for summer, but for now, it's a win for me.

Serta Down Illusion Comforter Thumbs Up

I ordered the Serta Down Illusion Down Alternative All Season comforter to replace an old down heavyweight comforter. The feathers were starting to come out and it was just too hot even in the winter. The Serta comforter looked like a great alternative as it does not require dry cleaning, provides allergen barrier weaving and Microban odor defense, has corner loops for the attachment to a duvet cover, and probably can be used year round - not too hot, not too cold. It arrived well packaged and with no odors and expanded to a perfect level of "marshmallow" fluffiness and softness in just a day. I ordered the King/Cal King size (96" X 110") which fits perfectly on my 76" X 80" King mattress, leaving a nice overhang on all sides to cover the mattress ends. I plan to order a duvet cover to protect it.

Elevated Fluffy Yet Lightweight

Very comfy, fluffy and lightweight for being the extra warmth comforter. Purchased the King/Calif. King hoping to have some elevated fluff to fill out a duvet and this one did it perfectly. It's hard to tell online what you're getting but if you're looking for fluffy without the weight, this one is perfect. I spent many hours on-line trying to figure out which comforter would give me the look I was looking for. I have a Calif. King bed, filled out duvet perfectly and gave me the fullness I was looking for. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it!
