I originally purchased the summer weight comforter from the Montreaux line. However, that line uses only duck down. Which is pretty messy (smaller duck down clusters easily escape the lower thread count cotton of Montreaux.) I live in NYC, but our apartment stays pretty warm throughout the year. However, the summer weight was definitely too light. I strongly recommend upgrading to the goose down Valletto line - for both pillows and comforters. You get what you pay for. This Valletto comforter is beautifully made, and I expect it to last many years to come.

Horrible chemical smell

Absolutely horrendous chemical smell. This is my second duvet from Matouk - I wanted something allergy friendly and without feathers. Well I had HORRIBLE allergies to the chemical smell of this duvet. It feels cheap as well.

I received this comforter yesterday and upon opening, I noticed stains all over the comforter. Super disappointed that this would pass QA and then shipped to a customer. For the amount of money being spent, I expect a brand spanking new item.

Very nice quality! So light and comfortable yet nice and warm on cold nights. We were a little hot on a warm night in the Spring though so this may not work in the hot summer but that’s OK. It’s perfect for fall, winter and spring.

I bought the summer weight duvet after debating whether to get the all season. I sleep warm so need something cool and the summer weight is perfect! Even for cold days, I feel totally warm. And I love fluffy cloud-like duvets. I was worried since it’s so light it wouldn’t be, but it IS! Highly recommend!
