Mattress protector
The mattress protector is thin but works fine to protect my new mattress.
The mattress protector we purchased at Raymond and Flanagan is exactly what we expected. It fit over our queen sized mattress easily and does not shift while sleeping on it. I like that it's liquid proof but isn't a slippery material.

Don't recommend for a young kid and not very "waterproof"
I was convinced to buy this mattress protector to get the mattress protection when I purchased a new bunk bed and mattress last week. This is being used for my son who still wears a pull-up at night and this is supposed to be waterproof, which is super important for young kids. This is NOT waterproof. My son had a minor leaky pull-up last night and the odor went through to the mattress itself. Nothing was damp anymore by this morning but it clearly leaked through the mattress protector. So this mattress protector is basically useless because it is not protecting the mattress. I'm sorry I didn't just get a cheaper one at Target, but I was trying to get the 5 year protection for the mattress. Not worth the hassle. Now I am using it on the bottom bunk because my son is not sleeping down there.
