Disappointed in Brightness and Longevity

We tried both the low and high settings, and this light is extremely dim. We have had over a week of bright, sunny weather and the charge doesn’t last through the night. Total waste of money.

The light arrived quickly. Assembly was straight forward. I added some oil to the parts that screwed together for ease of installation. Chose the dimmer light level. The light works all night.

Color in picture very different from color of product

Got the yard light today. Was very excited to get it installed and into service. Heart sank when I opened the package. Thought I was getting the lovely finish featured on the website. Got a dreary, depressing grayish finish instead. Hopefully I've finally learned my lesson. Will buy local from now on.

Clear vs. frosted

The light is well made and I like it. But the firs thing I did was spray the glass with a frosting deposit. Had to disassemble the fixture to spray the inside of the large panes. The light is far more pleasing now than when the glare of the bulb was visible.

10 years

I have 12 of the little bit older model from a 10 year ago purchase. I tried to buy some new cheaper ones and they are plastic, not near as nice. I am trying to revive these older ones since they are metal and durable. I have cleaned the glass and they look like new. I am going to replace the battery next. If this gives decent light, they are all going back out. compound.

Look great and they work as advertised

I bought 2 to replace faulty wiring problems with my existing hard-wired lamps. This is the second time I bought solar lamps for this location, the first time I bought cheaper ones from another supplier and they were useless. These are great, have them set on high and they last all night. Very easy install. Very pleased so far.

Love our Solar Lamps!

This is the second set of solar lamps we’ve ordered from the Outdoor Solar Store.com. The lamps are well constructed and beautiful. Since we were mounting them on brick pillars and not a pole, we had to purchase the bases from our local home improvement store. They fit perfectly and we absolutely love them! Also, they arrived in perfect condition as they packed very well for shipping. Great product!

Great looking, easy installation.

These lights are well made, finished nicely and look incredible. The light output (2 settings) is attractive without being overwhelming. The rippled glass really adds to the look of the product. Installation was quick and easy, mounting on a 3 inch post-top. Very pleased with the appearance, and performance. Definitely would recommend these lights.

Not enough light

I was replacing an outdoor post light because of a short in the wiring. This item was easy to install, and works well, but does not produce enough light nor does it last the entire light. If the sun does not shine (i.e., cloudy) it barely comes on. If this is used in combination with other lighting it will be great. Not so, it you need to safely light a walk way.

Really Nice!

I put this light in for my sister who wanted to replace a gas lamp. I suggested trying a solar light to save the cost and trouble of a hard-wire electric lamp. This lamp is a little more money than some others but the look matched what we wanted and the build quality was better than I expected. The light fit perfectly on our 3" post.

Worth every penny

This light was expensive but we figured it would be cheaper than having an electrician wire electric to the outside gate, and that the money we would save from having electric lights vs solar lights would just pay for the lights over time. The extra money was WORTH IT! To start: these lights are absolutely gorgeous (nothing "cheap" about them). The solar light bulb is the perfect shade and brightness. They stay lit for the whole night if we had a sunny day. If the day was cloudy the lights are dimmer and don't stay lit as long but we don't even notice this because we are usually fast asleep by the time they dim out. Buy these lights, you won't be disappointed

It would have been very costly. These lights are very attractive, but the light output is pretty short. They serve a purpose, but just not extremely happy with them. Haven't yet installed permanently. I've set up just the lantern in area that gets decent amount of sun but not full day. I want to make sure it will last before installing permanently. So far working as advertised. Comes on bright at dusk and stays lit fairly bright until at least midnight. With shorter, cloudier days light becomes dimmer earlier. With bright sunlit days it stays bright longer even up to 4 am. (Outdoor temp mid 30's - mid 60's with frequent rain.) A big improvement in this metal model is the light is an actual bulb you screw in, and it is easily replaceable. I couldn't inspect much else inside this metal lamp as screws are too soft and too tightly installed. (We tried 4 different sized phillips heads.) I could not open the battery housing, but batteries are supposedly replaceable.The mounting hardware appears adequate. The metal post screws together fairly easily and appears seamless. The panes appear to be glass. There were no bugs, cocoons, rust or dirt inside lantern despite being outdoors for weeks. It is heavier, prettier and except for the screws better designed with that replaceable bulb. The lamp may be eco friendly, manufacturer's packaging is not.

This is the best ever solar led light post I have ever installed. The weathered bronze is a green, black, and gray mix that ready looks great. This light has a high or low light and an off button. But this light comes on at dusk and shuts of at dawn and stays bright the whole time. This is the best solar powered light ever, it has solar batteries that are rated to last 1000 days before replacement. I love the look and function of this light. It was easy to install and comes with a drilling template and anchors to install on a concrete pad or on a concrete block. Love this solar light, it functions trouble free and altogether its an awesome product.

[Rewarded Review] Super-solid construction for a solar light!

Can't begin to say how excited I was to find this line of solar light posts! We're in transition on landscaping and I didn't want to run electrical for posts, only to have to move them later on. These lights are super-classy looking and a perfect match for our style. They provide great light at night and look amazing in the daylight . This seems to be really well made and I have no doubt we'll get years of use out of these, even in our harsh weather conditions! I love that they come on at night so that there is a light in the yard when I head home after dark, which is most of the time in our northern US location. This one will be mounted on a post set in concrete in the spring, but it's temporarily mounted on a rock wall in the meantime. I would like to see a companion post offered, but I'm sure we'll work something out just fine.

This is a fairly large post light, and visually it looks good even as a solo light in front of a house. The direct light from the bulb has some glare due to the direct outward facing LEDs. The color temperature is very warm, similar to an incandescent bulb. There are two light level settings, Normal and Economy. The switch is enclosed inside the housing, and it must be disassembled to change settings. There isn't a huge difference in brightness, so I just left it at Economy.

I love this new solar lamp. It is LED which means it will stay bright longer than older incandescent bulbs (lower energy use). It's attractive and hardly noticeable that it is solar powered, has two light intensity settings and can be post mounted or bracket mounted. Seems solid and well made and hopefully will last a long time. I've always wanted a post mounted light out near the beginning of my driveway but didn't want the expense of burying electric lines. Now I've got it!
