Perfect Paella

I have used enamel and metal pans previously but my first effort on the cast iron pata negra revealed why it is considered the best. Daylight in terms of heat distribution and retention. I’m a home cook but the soccorat was elite! Great dealing with Kitchen Warehouse too via click and collect. Very happy.

Paella Pan

Well the feedback from our guests was that the paella was perfect and the pan itself had much to do with this result. The cooking was even and consistent. The pan then cleaned easily ready for the next use. I intend to try other dishes in the pan as well as paella. A wonderful addition to our kitchen

Garcima Paella Pan Pata Negra 40cm.

Garcima Paella Pan Pata Negra 40cm. The delivery was earlier than indicated. The pan is of very good quality, has a large cooking surface, and works well on induction for the heat. However, for the induction hob, the pan needs to be flat, but it is not. The pan kept rocking and rotating and I used 3 silicon shimmers to stop the rocking and rotation. This concave shape is likely to get more with heated use in the long run. Suggestion, have 3 supporting legs below for induction, or make them with a special technique for carbon steel to balance the heat expansion to keep the pan flat.

I received my new pan today only a couple days after placing my order. It looks and feels great. I can't wait to use it. I saw an inferior pan of the same size in a catering supply stor for a much higher price, which is what made me look online. I'm very impressed with the service and the product.
