Easy to tip, doesn’t glide easily

It’s meh, storage trays are flimsy and fragile couldn’t run over a tic Tac.

A little tippy on uneven surfaces but have never been more comfortable working on the car.

Bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas and he loves it. He used to sit on a 5 gallon bucket when working on our dirtbikes or his Mustang and then his back would hurt. So he appreciates this very much. Its height is adjustable and the wheels are super sturdy. The seat is comfortable and there are no hard edgea that could scratch his car when rolling around.

Great quality Seat

I’ve had this a few weeks and it’s by far and away the best seat I’ve used. I’ve had other major tool brand seats that don’t match the build quality of this seat.

Assembly is easy. I sat on it twice for long periods. It is NOT comfortable to sit on, and could be a pain in the butt. It is not as steady as expected. It easily tilts as you bend while seated to pick up tools and stuff from the lower shallow bins at the base of the stool. It also tilts as you bend while seated to pick up anything on the floor. It look nice and functional to deserve 2 stars. I put it aside after trying it out. I use my old office chair in my garage for now. I would like to return it to Home Depot.

Great for my workshop

I ordered this mechanic's seat more on a whim than anything else. It has worked out well for me; I can use it @ my work area & more around to get tools, adjust the music or throw something away without getting up. My grandson also like spinning around on it.

This seat surprised me when I picked up the box. It was about 3 or 4 times as heavy as I was expecting. It turns out it is built from some pretty heavy gauge metal. So it is super sturdy and stable. As far as assembly I hesitate to call it that. You drop the shaft in the base and the seat on the shaft. Not much assembly to that. The 6 removable compartments are sizable and very sturdy themselves not some thin pieces of plastic. I have another rolling seat and this one is far better. The seat itself is sizable and is more than big enough for 220 lb behind to be comfortable. And the casters are well made and smooth rolling. My shop has a smooth concrete floor and it glides over that very smoothly. I have not tried other surfaces. And the height adjustment is easy and solid. It covers a good range and the height is just right for me at 5’6” with it on the lowest setting. All in all this is a very well built seat. This thing is rock solid. I expect it to hold up well over time. I don’t think you can go wrong with this one if you need a good quality rolling seat that will last.
