Very robust color. I thought by the photo's the backing was a dark brown but it is black. Still goes good with the deep burgundy. Solid feel.

I bought this set for pretty design and good price.

Gorgeous unique stoneware

We had 2 sets of this originally and pieces kept breaking or getting chipped so I bought this set to replace those pieces. This set is gorgeous and the pattern is very unique. The pieces are a good size, weight %26 variety but the color was off though. My original sets are a darker wine red and these are a much lighter red. But with stoneware you do get variations in color with the glaze and stoneware tends to chip so easily.

NOT RED

Nice sturdy dishes but definitely not red, more like a rust & not sure if contrasting color is black or brown. I like them but not as described. Also if ordering online thru Lowe’s b aware they will place 2 charges on your account. First one is a hold to check availability of funds then second actual charge at time of shipping. I would say dishes r nice but not worth the hassle for not luving them!!!

Very Pretty Set

The red set is absolutely beautiful in person; even prettier than the picture online. However, the dishes are not fully glazed. The white part is not glazed and I'm concerned that the white part on the plates would stain, if we used the plates for spaghetti. If I had bought them for just display in a china cabinet, I would keep them, but unfortunately; this set will be returned to our local store this next weekend.

This was our second try at ordering dishes online. We love the color and the pattern. The red color is rich and not the tomato red you see in some of the photos. I'm concerned that the white dots are not glazed. So we'll see if that becomes and issue with staining from say tomato sauce. There were a couple of spots on a few plates and some of the bowls that didn't get any dark brown, which appear as flaws. One of the plates also had a blemish underneath that was rough and would scratch a table or counter, so I ended up having to file it down. Not the best quality in my book, but it's so hard to find pretty dishes in any of the stores these days that you can actually look at. I also liked the fact that this set didn't come with mugs but the little ramekin bowls. Our last set had these and we love that size and use them all the time! I do wish mugs were available in this pattern that you could buy separately. Overall, they are worth the money and I won't feel like a broke the bank if we want to change them out in a couple of years. They were packed well but there was nothing in the box if you needed to order a piece that was broken. You would end up having to return the whole set and reorder. To me, that's not great customer service.

Great dishes

Really like these. They feel like pottery or stoneware. Heavy and quality. Very nice design and look like they're from a high end shop. Love the little bowls too!
