this products color must be something else than “brushed nickel”, it is more like goldish.

Catastrophic failure after 9 months

After 9 months of normal use, the metal sheathing detached, exposing the plastic tube, which then burst, spraying water everywhere. We'll see if they honor the "lifetime" warranty, and if it's worth getting another hose that will just explode again.

Second hose purchased failed each time

Second time this hose from glacier Bay failed less than a year. The quality is inferior hose, separated and split. The internal hose is not made of quality material.

Poor Quality - Lasted 1 Year

Product worked as expected. However, after 8 months, the metal sheathing detatched from the end of the hose (exposing a plastic hose). Then, at 12 months, the hose completely detached from the nut at the end of the hose making it unusable.

Metal covering breaks at handle

Purchased one month ago, expected it to last longer, but this morning the metal covering broke at the handle slipping down the plastic hose a couple of feet. We don't abuse our belongings, very disappointed in the quality. Don't waste your money. You remember what John Arbukle said "you get what you pay for".

So glad I changed out the part that broke vs buying another cheap hose with plastic fittings. Good quality. The inside piece that broke on my Glacier bay hose was made of plastic - this one is made of brass. Two complaints: 1. It is a little long. 2. the base is more narrow that the original thread on base on Glacier Bay - a little strange that it is not a perfect fit for their own product. TIP: I repaired the existing one with Epoxy just in case this didn't work; once glued it no longer swivels but in a pinch of if you wanted a solid fix until you had time to replace the hose or the entire shower head.

Busted open

I bought a shut off valve to place on the end of this house so that my handicapped mother could turn it to a Drip and keep the hot water flowing. Well after 2 uses the inside of this glacier bay nickel is made of plastic!!! It busted and the metal busted. Which actually gave me a metal splinter in my hand! Will never buy this brand again!

Quality hose fits all shower heads

This is at least the 3rd time I bought this shower hose, as a replacement for shorter (and often poorer quality) hoses that come standard with handheld shower heads. I find the quality very good, solid brass fittings and soft flexible feel to the hose. The length is a big plus, easy to reach anywhere within the shower stall. Definitely recommend it.

Pointless and worst shower hose

I have purchased it not once not twice but THREE TIMES. Why? Bc each time it breaks it’s usually 8 PM- I’m either giving my child a shower or myself. Next, time to get my mom to babysitter bc I’m a single mom & run to Home Depot to replace the shower hose. In fact, I just got back from doing just that, yet again. And why do I continuously buy this awful overpriced in my opinion (it’s $32 at my NJ Home Depot) hose?— bc it is the ONLY ONE THEY SELL- sry u can pick between two shades. DONT BUY!!

Chrome sheath cracked at handheld joint.

Not happy. I purchased the chrome finish model approximately two weeks ago. The chrome sheath / cover has broken free from the fitting and slid roughly two feet down the - now exposed - plastic hose. There has been virtually no strain or twisting applied to the hose during the two weeks of use.

Exceptionally Long Very Well Constructed 86 Inch Shower Hose

Most of if not all shower hoses that I have purchased in the past are 60 inches long. I was amazed to find this 86 inch hose constructed of stainless steel. We were also amazed how much water this hose can move through the nozzle. We use our shower to wash our larger 90 pound dog (She LOVES her shower time) and this hose length is perfect for her, and for us. Highly recommended.

Keeps breaking

I like the look of the metal hose, but this one keeps breaking during a shower and sprays water all over the bathroom. Leaves me with soap and shampoo all over me, having to somehow rinse myself off using the spigot. This one only lasted a month. For $30, I expect better quality control. Plastic hose from now on, for me. I’ve had those last years. Not happy with this hose! :(

Perfect Length & Fit

I'd been wondering if this hose would fit & match my Moen shower head. Couldn't be better! And quite inexpensive also! UPDATE: Buy at a brick & mortar, NOT online! Purchased 2 of these online from different sellers - both turned out to be NO GOOD after I left positive feedback. One leaked badly and the other had broken metal hose. Conversely, the two I bought at a home improvement store are perfect and going strong.

Very easy install for one of the least expensive faucets...

Very easy install for one of the least expensive faucets for a kitchen sink. I previously had a pull-out style so this pull-down so getting used to the more restrictive hose movement. If I could go back and pick the best made faucet with good design and look that didn't start at $250, I would still pick this one again. There two different actions of how the faucet reacts when it is turned of in faucets that switch from a single stream or spray. One is that when the faucet is shut off it always resets to the single stream no matter what it was set to at shut-off, the other is that it remains in whatever option was being used. This one is the latter - if that matters to you.

86 in shower hose.

This is a wonderful shower hose. It is 86 inches long which enables the shower massage to reach all around the shower. it is relatively well constructed with the weak point at the connection from the hose to the shower massage. It tends to fail after many uses at that point of connection to the holding bracket. But at about $25 to replace the hose, it is not a big problem. They could strengthen and reinforce that part of the hose but it doesn't look like they will do it.

This hose is a lifesaver! Several years ago I purchased a low flow, water saving shower wand for my son's bathroom. When it suddenly failed I had no idea how to replace it and came to the store expecting to pay big bucks for a new one. When I got to the Home Depot I was overjoyed to find this universal hose that fit perfectly and appears to be very durable. Problem solved, hopefully long term.

Hose Burst Less Than 1 Yr.

Do not recommend this product. The inner plastic tubing is cheap and suddenly burst from within spraying hot water and PIECES OF METAL on my son.

This is a great upgrade to a hand shower if...

This is a great upgrade to a hand shower if you have a large shower. I bought this after returning home from hospital and having to use a seat in the shower. The standard hand shower hose just couldn't reach comfortably. This one was a huge improvement. The hose seems to be better quality than the standard hoses, it is VERY flexible and the added length lets it easily reach to all corners of the shower - a bonus when you're cleaning and trying to rinse the shower without getting sprayed.
