LOVE THIS PALLADIA COLLECTION!

Took me about 5 hrs to put the Lateral File in Split Oak Finish together. Had a few mis-steps, my fault, but took a step back and got it right. Still have the desk and 2 bookcases to put together and awaiting the media center that is out of stock. Super excited about how beautiful the first piece looks. Can't wait to get them all put together. Gonna work on 1 a day - Thank you for such great products!!!!

Exactly as described

I purchased this lateral file cabinet to replace my existing one. The directions were easy to understand and I was able to put it completely together in one day. This product is really a quality piece of furniture. Very sturdy, drawers fit and operate smoothly but, most of all, it really looks nice. I love it and I'm very happy I purchased it.

Very nice product

We use this for a file cabinet and a place to store paper supplies. We also use it for a TV stand which is big enough for our DVD player to sit on along with our dish box. Great finish and color.

This lateral file cabinet will work nicely.

For the most part I was impressed with the instructions but there was one step that could really use clarification. It involved the brace, bottom molding and skirt (step no. 11). All that would be needed is a picture or better drawing of the orientation of the parts. We inventoried the parts carefully as there were several parts that weren't labeled at all. We also encountered two instances where the predrilled holes were sloppy enough that the screws wouldn't tighten. Don't know if it was a material problem or machining problem. I really wish that the drawer bottoms and the back was real wood but overall I am satisfied with the product. We took our time and got it built in about 6 hours with two of us involved.

Large & Heavy

This lateral file replaces one that we've had for 8 years. So much more room to store files. Matches the desk we previously bought. Assembly took about 7 hours over a couple days. Only problem we ran into was with the screws on the top piece. You are told to not overtighten the screws; however, when we inserted the top drawer & pulled it out, the screws scratched & took out chunks of the top of the drawer. Hoping with time & more use of the drawer this will stop happening. In the meantime, there's always a Sharpie marker!

The product I purchased was a file cabinet. The assembly instructions were at times difficult to understand. In addition, some of the parts were not labeled. Some of the parts had little dings in them. After about 5 hours, I completed the cabinet. Hopefully, someday, AI will take over the assembly process.

Nice but Heavy, Well Built (by me..LOL!) File Cabinet

The file cabinet looks very nice and is sturdy. The only downside is the assembly and it is heavy. The instructions are easy to follow and the links, to the instructional video, is a nice bonus to review if you do not understand the printed instructions. However, the cabinet took me about 6 hours to assemble by myself, which is why I gave it 4 stars. I struggled a little because some of the panels were too heavy to hold onto while trying to attach to another piece. It can be done, but, in my opinion it would be easier with 2 people. I have weak wrists so the constant strain on my wrist while trying to tighten some of the screws was difficult as well. I ended up using a small power screwdriver that I have to help me, but it didnt always fit in certain areas. The predrilled holes all lined up perfectly, which really helped with the assembly. And I applaud Sauder for using good-quality wood screws! Thank you! The finished product is very nice, but heavy and has bulkier look. I really like it and will be a perfect addition to my office. I plan on ordering the matching computer desk, although I am not looking forward to the assembly process again. I plan to ask a friend to help out.

Great for home office!

Working from home is so organized now. One drawer is for work and the second is for home! Love it!

I purchased this for my home office and I am very pleased with the product. It is extremely well made and was easy to put together. It did take 3 hrs to put together, however, the assembly instructions were easy to follow, the parts well labeled and all of the pre-drilled holes aligned perfectly. I would recommend this product.
