This is the second one I have purchased and both are well made and easy to install. They have held up well over time and look nicer than a lot of petgates.

Arrived Broken

The gate was not welded properly and was not functional because of the misalignment. I could not close or latch the gate at all

We really are happy with our walk thru gate by MidWest Homes for Pets gate/walk through Steel pet gate. This was installed by my daughter in less than an hour. It’s perfect for our need.

After a year+, one of the two gates broke from standard use, my poodle cannot jump over the 42” high gates.

It is perfect and will work beautifully between my living room & office doorway. I am not sure if my dogs were to happy about it, but I sure am!

Love This Gate !! It's very good handles 2 cattle dogs from my special room. Ty Highly recommended easy to put up. Or take down if needed.

Easy to install pet gate. Keeps my cat away from the front door. Placed in a corridor before the entrance. Very nice looking like part of the house and not just an obstacle for my pet. My cat almost jumped over it....might have to consider a taller one in the future. But for a dog it would be ideal.

Very nice pet gate. We have two of these gates for separate areas in our home. As we have cats that we want to be able to get through, we simply cut out one bar in the cat for their easy access.

We needed something to keep our two cats separated while they meet each other for the first time. This is doing a great job because it's tall with a wide door for us to carry their supplies through. Our male cat isn't much of a jumper, so he can't get over it. Our female cat has no desire to jump it, even though she probably could. Installation was pretty easy once I actually read the directions instead of assuming I knew what to do.

Great Gate

I love this gate. I got it for my porch n my dog waits patiently while I open it so we can go out to walk. Have another set of steps on my porch & ill be getting the same gate for it

After we adjusted the length of the adjuster rod it went together really good. We had to cut about 3/16" off the rod to make it fit. Also it doesn't glow as advertised. However, we love the width of the gate. We have a family member on a walker and the walker will fit through the gate. Also the self-close feature is nice.

Very flimsy once assembled. No re-enforcements when adding extensions. Bends in or bends out when tight. not over tightened. Need to return the 3" extension.

We have 2 of these gates, one is a replacement. They work well but in the area we walk through it the most, the first gate fell apart after a year and the second after 6 months.

Very nice gate. We have a small dog (Malshi) and he's unable to get through the bars, which is obviously awesome. Very sturdy and easy to install.

Dangerous! Do Not Buy!

First let me say I've had these gates for 2 years now so I've had adequate time to figure out there absolute garbage and not safe. The other reviews that say the gates were or are broken apon opening are wrong. The gap that is present between the door and the latch closes once the gate is mounted in the doorway allowing for a custom fit. Just thought everyone should know that. Now, I'll get to my personal review.

This is the only style of pet gate we purchase. We have gone through about three of them (due to moving or our human clumsiness knocking it down). It’s tall enough to keep our cat out of the rooms we don’t want him to be in. And it’s easy to install. I wish that the extension pieces came in a slightly slimmer size, but that’s no reason not to love this gate. I will definitely buy this exact one next time we need a new gate.
