I love these placemats. The size is perfect to fit your plate and glass with needing to use a coaster. They are also beautiful.

Woven placemats

The weaving isn't as tight as I would of liked, but they will work .I have had my current ones for over 13 years, I hope these hold up as well.

Sturdy and pretty (UPDATE)

These are big, sturdy and I like them. I don't know how well they will clean being what they are made of. Looks good on my oak table. Update: These are not that great, they slide around on the table and the size is too big. Impossible to clean. I used them off and on for almost a year and frankly, just couldn't stand them any longer. Not for me.

Sturdy

These 15 inch round placemats are perfect for an average size plate. They are painted silver rattan and very sturdy. They are also flat enough where are you can use in the center of the table with a vase. You can hand wipe them clean with a damp cloth which I did and the paint did not come off.
