Very easy to work with. Lays flat. Love the built in tape and grid lines. Our flooring is so quiet.

I bought this as an alternative to the P-Gold underlayment I had used for previous laminate flooring projects. The price was very good and the reviews I read were mostly quite favorable. I was not disappointed. In fact, I came to prefer this to the previous underlayment I had used. The previous was good, no question; but it is a foam that is a bit more rigid and stiff, so if you make a dent in it the dent may or may not heal itself. This material is a bit more rubbery. Dents or impressions spring back almost immediately. As far as the finished floor goes, I cannot really tell any difference. And the metallic surface has the grid pattern that makes it easier to cut straight. My one complaint--and it is the same complaint noted by other reviewers--is the adhesive strip that is supposed to run the full length of the roll. The first roll had no adhesive strip until almost half way into the roll. On the second roll I was more than half way into it before the adhesive strip appeared. Overall it was not a big deal; I have appropriate tape that I used in its place. But the company shouldn’t be advertising something they can’t reliably deliver. With as many purchasers complaining about it this problem seems to have been going on for quite a while, so you’d think the company would put pressure on their Chinese manufacturers to fix the problem. But evidently they are either unwilling or unable to do so. Otherwise I am quite satisfied with this product.

Great, but improvement needed

This is a great product. I liked how it has tape and a seem ready to use. I would have given it 5 stars but at one point in the roll the tape wasn’t there.

Highly recommend

Used 2 different underlayments in different rooms, this and a cheaper option. HIGHLY recommend this product over cheaper options. A friend helped with our flooring and also noticed the difference and will use this product for his underlayment when he does his flooring project.

I read the reviews and went for this over Pergo gold underlayment. The underlayment is very squishy compared to Pergo gold. Pergo is far superior quality than this and I would advise you to spend the extra money and get that instead.

This underlayment has it ALL at half the cost per sqft of others. I used it under laminate flooring. It's easy to work with: the grid squares are perfect for accurate cuts, it lays flat, the built in tape A+. The floor sounds like hardwood too.

Amazing price and works great

Grid lines and adhesive strip to join them together side by side are a definite plus. Sounds better than the previous thin foam underlayment. There's a more dense sound vs a hollow sounding floor.

Quality product, but tricky to lay

This is half the price of the 3mm Pergo gold foam, and seems to be a quality product. The Pergo is a straight styrofoam, while this FloorLot material is more of a flexible rubbery “mat style” roll out foam. The down side is that it kept wanting to wrinkle on me, and was hard to get to lay flat. Overall happy with it.
