Needs More Sun & Water

I planted 6 of these Golden Ticket privets in April 2020 in a dappled sun area under trees in zip code 20854 (zone 7). I prune them heavily each Spring to encourage bushiness and they do grow well, but i wouldn’t say they are thriving in this location. They respond well to watering and look much better after a rain. I wish i had planted them in a sunnier spot that was easier to reach with hand watering. After 3 years, I realize dappled sun and rainfall just aren’t enough for them to shine.

Plants received well packaged and in pristine shape. Planted them in larger grow bags with regular composted topsoil to give the roots a chance to develop and grow out. I will put these in the ground mid-September. For now, they remain viable and healthy.

Beautiful light green and exceptional packing

I awed while opening the box with exceptionally well packed by proven winners, looks like it was gift; this small plant looks beautiful light green in a 1 gal pot , cant wait to grow big in my garden, leaf looks very artistic. I also purchased 2 gal pot for Pravachol in my garden which is not too big of a size but I’m very happy with this healthy looking small tree and sharing the picture.

The shipping was quick, plant was secure and healthy. It was planted is late August to avoid the hot summer days. Remember to take a knife and cut the root ball before planting it. It is doing so well, growing quickly. I am hopeful it handles the winter ahead.

My shipment arrived on schedule, well packed. They are beautiful specimens! I planted 4; 2 thrived & 2 died for reasons unknown. (probably overwatering or my planting technique) But I was able to get 2 replacements that look super! The original 2 (pictured below) showed new growth within 7-10 days.

These came in a 1 gallon bucket but they were completely dried out and the roots were not in a root ball. They were about 6 inches tall with three total branches. Very disappointed with the product for the price. Should have been an $8 bush but I paid $30.

In the item description was it NOT mentioned that the flowers are fragrant. Which may fine for some but not for those who suffer from allergies. So it may be that this plant will be okay for some, it is yellow as we want, the size of mature shrub we want so planned our front garden around it.
