The lilac

I have gotten many plants this year from you. Two issues. 1 my Russian sage was out of its pot and close to death, I managed to bring it back, but somewhat deformed. 2 Boomarang lilac lots of bug damage, safer soap helped other plants were fine

Beautiful healthy plants

Beautiful healthy plants. I was hoping they’d have a little bit of bloom but, alas, they don’t. Since they are rebloomers perhaps I’ll get a few buds in a couple months. If not, next year.

Delivery by FedEx was lousy. Two boxes were delivered, both were beatup. They looked like they were kicked around. One box had three plants, two of the plants were right side up and one plant was upside down, I planted all three. The plant that was upside down had two broken stems, had to prune them off. Time will tell.

The little lilac that could!

One year ago i gave this to my Mom as a Mother's Day gift. Planted in full sun, and last summer was hot and dry in CT. Set up a soaker hose that kept the plant moist, but very little in the way of leaf growth and no flowers at all. Fast forward to this spring, when a very excited Mom called to say bush had burst into bloom! And sent me a pic to see for myself. Her faith in the little bush was rewarded. Can't wait to see if it will rebloom. Very happy with purchase, always have good luck with HD plants and bulbs.

Flowers are very delicate

The plant is rather small for a 1 gal, but it appeared to have many flowers. However it also appears it's very delicate as most of the mini petals were in the plastic when I opened the box. See photo. I'm not sure how long before it will have new flowers which is a bummer. Maybe the box us just too small and it was stuffed into it which added to friction during shipment. I will be returning.

Impressive mail order delivery

Our plant arrived three days earlier than expected. Healthy plant safely packaged. I had low expectations of having a plant delivered in the heat of summer, but it’s perfect. Small, but healthy. We can watch it grow! Love it.

Ordered 2 plants and they arrived a day earlier than expected. Both plants were in decent shape with soil intact and still moist. Plants did display what looked like heat stress, but not extreme. Got both in the ground within an hour of arrival. Watered them in and they perked up in a few days. Showing new growth and look very good after two weeks in the ground.

Nice plant. slow to grow

the plant arrived in a container to protect it. This is a replacement for a similar plant that died after someone turned off my drip watering during last year's drought. It took 3 years to get the previous plant to a large enough size that I no longer needed the wire fence 'cage' to protect it from animals. I expect to have to wait another 3 years for this new bush to get to a reasonable size.

Not the best.

They were wonderful when i first received them. I had to keep them inside until the weather was better. At that point which was about 2 weeks one of the two i bought started to wither and it died about two days later. The last one i put outside in a protected area and about one week later it did the same thing. Won't be buying these any more.

Very small but alive

I first purchased a Bloomerang from my local nursery last year. It bloomed so well this year that my mom wanted one. My local nursery no longer sells them so I had to go online. The 1 gallon is very small (7” max) for $40. I am disappointed but at least it’s alive and has many leaves. FedEx also threw it on my porch sideways. We’ll see how it does when my mom plants it. For me it seems too expensive for the size…It is May and I’m in MA.

The plant I received is not progressing. It came with a few buds, but they are not growing nor opening and no more are coming. By contrast, for the same price, the lilac I bought at Home Depot is about twice the size, had many buds that opened in a few days and were magnificent. It is not a repeat bloomer, though. I bought the bloomerang online, because it was supposed to have more than one blooming period. The leaves are healthy enough, but the buds are disappointing and not opening.

My lilac growing by leaps and bounds!

I purchased this plant last June. It's a bit late for Oklahoma, but was wanting a lilac all of a sudden. Lol. Well, it adapted and made it through the winter. I use Espoma organic Rosetone fertilizer in Spring. I added a bit of composted cow manure to the top on the soil too this Spring. The plant has already grown 6 inches in height in March. This is a very healthy plant!! Well-- it's a Proven Winner! I think some reviewers are impatient or not watering their new plants enough in southern heat

It definitely shows promise

I really have nothing to say about it yet. A baby shrub, and although I was able to plant it, I still have no idea of the quality or health. I previously had this type of lilac bush and I loved it. Unfortunately, snowplowing that ended up covering it's last winter, it died. This is a replacement; I certainly have not yet been able to observe the looming or reblooming aspect of this lilac. It arrived in good condition, but other than that, I have nothing to say.

The plant was about 1.5" tall, two stems with a couple leaves.rather tiny for the size of the pot, and looked very sick. It was discolored and some leaves yellow. I have trays of plant starts from seed as well as lilac cutting s from my garden and baby plants purchased online from bluestone and high country. Everything is thriving EXcept this poor lilac. One stem rotted while the other shoot got crispy yellow. Very bizarre. It appears to be dead/ only crispy nub at surface but am keeping in part shade in hopes something is happening under surface. I don't know if it came by w fungus or what on earth was wrong w it. First and last time buying plants online from homedepot

Plants small, dying and attempts to obtain rectification nearly impossible !

Terrible experience ! Some plants came withflowers on them that immediately died, others were just plain sticks and others had wilted and droopy leaves, all neeeding replacement either now or in the near future. Then, try to order the same size - not available through Home Depot. Then get a runaround with the vendor, Proven Winners who then sent plants in crushed boxes, upside down and all uprooted. Never again !

Too small for planting outdoors. Arrived upside down in the package, it was dumped out of the plastic cup, and root ball was completely dry. Although at the time the little plant itself looked ok. I placed it back in the cup, gave it some water, and placed in a bright window. I don't know if the roots got too dry or I over babied ( watered) it, but it did not survive. My opinion is that it was doomed from the beginning, and for 17.50$ it should have been a large plantable outdoors, plant. Yes I see that the order was for 4.5 in pot, I mistook it to be 4.5 Qt. L

I have years of experience as a gardener and I could not get this to do well. It showed up looking fine although small. It was blooming when I received it so that was nice. But I gave it a nice sunny spot and planted in decent soil amended with compost. It just never grew or did much. The leaves always looked brown and curled. It may be something to do with the cultivar and being so genetically altered to bloom twice, who knows. I do not regret returning this to the store.

The plant arrived in excellent shape, nice size, well established root system, and thus transplanted into ground well. In just a few days it actually started opening buds that were on it when it arrived. I have ordered quite a few things now from Home Depot that are from the Proven Winners line and every one has been highly satisfactory--packed well, well established root system n the pots, and ready to grow. I much prefer them to other growers shipping bare root. Too many failures with those. These come small but in pots with soil and I think that makes all the difference to them surviving shipping and then doing very well when planted.

We were amazed and delighted when we received our three Lilac shrubs. All three shrubs were in excellent shape. Packaged excellent for travel in sturdy, well-designed boxes for shipping. We had to wait for the weather to warm before planting. So they were in our house for a couple of weeks. We would put outside, in sun, during the day and bring inside at night due to too low temps. Now that the day and night temps are warm, we planted them. They still look good. I hope they continue to progress.
