Finally one that works!

I have several small mortar and pestles at home, and I've never been happy with any of them. This one really works, and I will give the others away. I had to grind a small amount of fennel seeds yesterday, and the were dust in about ten seconds.

This mortar and pestle makes short work of grinding spices, peppercorns, cardamom, and even coffee beans. It's efficient! Gets the job done quickly. The weight of the pestle makes it pretty much effortless. I rinse it after the coffee beans. It doesn't imbue other things with coffee flavor after rinsing. What a wonderful tool for the kitchen.

pricey works well.

Kind of pricey, but is nice. I use it for a good easy way to make guacamole. works well for mixing spices, too. I have ground some good rubs in this.

Great Mortar and Pestle

Gorgeous piece of kitchen ware. Large capacity, nice pestle. Nice, rough granite surface on the inside, smooth on the outside. Heavy and sturdy, if treated right, should last for many, many years. Very happy with the purchase.
