Fits our space perfectly and was exactly what we needed for our long entry hallway. We like the color and usability of the piece. It came with a few imperfections but didnt end up making a huge difference. The only bummer was about a week in, one of the hooks tore out of the backing material and left a large exposed piece that we can't reattach. Otherwise it's a very nice piece that I would recommend.

This product came extremely damaged. The box was so destroyed that there was no way I could return it. They were parts of the Finish missing off of at least 1/3 of the pieces and damage to the ends of multiple boards on the surface that would be showing. Whatever the styrofoam packing they use to protect it was melted in transit and adhered to the boards and was nearly impossible to remove. Unfortunately I think this is a case of you get what you pay for. If you are looking for something like this and build it yourself or go for something more expensive. The quality is very low and I don't think it would have held up long in a mud room even if the pieces came intact.

The product itself was fine, but the assembly instructions were a joke. The paperwork had all the pieces identified with a label, but not one item in the box had any identification markings. Many of the pieces were similar, but they were all different. I am an engineer and it took me a very long time to identify the differences in the items in the box. Assembly itself was fine, but they could identify the items to correspond with the assembly instructions!!

The cardboard panel in the back distract from the attractiveness. In other words, it makes it look cheap. I put it in the garage, and it looks great there. It also came without instructions. The Wayfair tech left several holes in my wall and didn’t even attempt to fill them or clean up behind himself. It’s wasn’t my most positive experience.

Bought this hall tree to solve the shoe problem and I’m excited to have a place to put all our coats. I knew I was buying a cheaper piece of furniture so I expected the cardboard and lower quality. Still disheartening to see the flaws straight out of the box. Lots of scratches all over, bubbling paint, and imperfectionschips on both the wood and pressed particle board. The item was relatively easy to build, however I wish the boards were labeled because it got confusing.

The size of this piece was exactly what I was looking for. It arrived within 48 hours and all items were in perfect condition when I opened the box. My husband and I put this together in 2 hours so pretty easy to assemble. We did reinforce the middle seams of the back board with white furring strips because it looked a little cheap without it. We also added furring strips to the back in order to make it flush with the wall since our baseboards were taller than the allotted space from the way the pieces were cut. All in all, it took an extra 30 min and a trip to the hardware store to make it customized for where we wanted to put it in our home. For the price we could not have built something like this in our own. Very happy with it!

It’s pretty cheap but acceptable in my large closet. I personally would not want this item on open display in my home. Hardware was missing from box and took over 2 weeks to arrive after calling to request the missing pieces. If it weren’t such a hassle to return- not sure what the cost is, I would have returned it. Also, plan on the hooks being pulled out and dealing with repair. My small child pulling on a hanging coat pulled the hook out very easily.

The problem is with the quality of materials. I would gladly pay 50%, 100% or even more for a better quality that will last longer. I purchased a hall tree for $350.00 and the bench is rated to 200 lbs. How many adults in this country weigh less than 200 lbs? The hooks backing is weak and the paint in the shoe storage area is already wearing off. I'd gladly pay $500.00 or $700.00 for a much better quality product, where at least the structure and bench are made of sturdier material.

Ordering: the delivery date the site tells you isn't necessarily what the shipping company adheres to/can deliver by, so be aware that it may change as the days pass.

Great hall tree. Glad I got this 60-inch wide one instead of a thinner (38-inch) one. Heavy box, recommend using 2 people unless you're big or stubborn. It took me a couple hours to assemble by myself but I enjoy putting together furniture, so no big deal. The hardware pieces were all in one large bag, not separated out and labeled with letters or numbers. Instructions are photos only, no captions or written directions. Again, I enjoy assembling furniture but if you don't, that might be annoying. This hall tree has so much space for shoes, the hooks actually have 2 hooks on them so you get double the hanging power, and you can easily fit baskets above. This entire hall tree was such a headache saver when I hosted Christmas, jackets all around my house drive me crazy. Very happy with this purchase.

For being made of cheap particle board, this is a great piece. Looks just like photos and contains all the appropriate slots for shoes, a bench that holds even a 250 lb person to put your shoes on. The shoe slots were 1 disappointment because they are just a couple long sheets that cross cross with each other so you cannot customize that area or make one area larger for boots etc.

Soooo disappointed in this piece. We bought a new house and I was excited to put this in my mid room. It took 3-4 hours to assemble and the back wall is just particle board and so flimsy. The nails keep falling out too. I’m not sure it’s stable enough to sit on. First item I’ve bought from Wayfair that was a big letdown. Not worth the money.

This monumental and heavy piece of furniture took me the better part of a day to assemble (because I was doing it alone, please get an assembly buddy), but it was worth it. It is exactly what I need in my front hall that has only a minimal closet. It keeps the shoes off the floor, gives you a place to sit, and has plenty of hooks. It's not gorgeous, it's just made of composite, but it does the trick. You do need to attach it to the wall because it is so tall and heavy. The attachment strap included was no good, so I bought an anti-tip kit that allowed me more flexibility in where to attach it.

We got a quote for a built in hall tree unit…and it was going to be 7-10k. That’s when I searched Wayfair for a more economical option. Obviously this unit is not solid wood, but it provides the storage I was looking for and it looks really nice. Easy to assemble and a nice surprise was the cutout in the back for baseboard so it sits flush against the wall.

This hall tree is beautiful, it works exactly how we pictured it, and it’s the perfect size for our space. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for the following reasons. We wish the back piece was one large piece so that it could be more sturdy. It took us 3 hours from start to finish, but we made a few mistakes along the way. We left one of the shoe organizer slots out to make a few larger areas for boots to fit, would have been nice if this was designed for boots to sit upright. The box it came in is very heavy so we ended up unboxing it on the step where it was delivered too. I highly recommend this hall tree though as our kids love being able to put their shoes in and take them out. It’s a great system for an entry way!

This was alright. Purchased for our new home and have ordered a LOT of furniture lately for the house. This was the most frustrating to put together. Nothing was labeled. The screwsnailsetc were all thrown together in a bag with a hole in it so when I picked it up out of the box everything flew everywhere. Some of the boards arrived scratched and dinged and ALL of the pre drilled holes look like they were made with a rusty butter knife-tore up the finish all around them. For the price I expected better.

Put this together on my own in about 3.5 hours. Im on the shorter side (around 52) and still had no major issues with screwing in anything just took my time. My husband helped with the heavy lifting because this piece is around 64 (77 inches tall) and very cumbersome. Opted to not add the shoe storage cubbies below because I planned to add a few water hyacinth baskets instead to increase the natural feel of our house. Without the shoe storage cubbies, the bottom storage actually fits a car seat for my newborn a perfect place to store it out of the way.

Had to re-order because the first one came with banged up corners. Used ship to store for the second order and it came without significant defect. Takes a bit to put together but the end result looks great. Very sturdy, easy to sit on, tons of shoe storage, looks high end. Would recommend.

We spent several hours both Saturday and Sunday this past weekend putting this item together. While the top half of the unit above the bench seemed generally solid for a particle board put together your own furniture item, when we began putting the shoe cubbies and bottom on the unit, the entire bottom ripped out from the screws.
