Tuff can

What I was looking for to place in my shop. It appears to be a tough can. It has handles where handles are needed at the top and bottom. I would recommend purchasing a 44 gallon bag for simplifying the placement of bag around rim.

I finally found myself ready to replace the Rubbermaid trash cans I purchased about 40 years ago. Mine are very heavily used and have served me very well, even with the abuse I have treated them with. These new Brute trash cans are designed great and look good, too. I look forward to many years of heavy usage. They definitely meet my expectations!

Looks like a good trash container....but like many other buyers didn't realize it doesn't have a lid! This should be disclosed up front and noticeable.....never would have even guessed no lid. I have other Brute trash containers in a different color.....and they had lids.

I bought one 5 years ago, bought a second one recently for my granddaughter. The quality and thickness of material as well as design for handles and lid has a good fit that will not come off without lifting on lid lift points, the medium quality trash bags work superb as there is a good fit and a little x-tea room when you pull out bag to tighten the drawstrings,

Well, I ordered a brand new white garbage bin so I can put it in my white garage. The garbage bin I received had black scuff marks all over. Im still leaving positive feedback because, at the end of the day, its just a garbage bin, just really wish it was an immaculate white.

Great product!

Perfect as a planter for a peach tree! First we drilled holes in the bottom and then we hot glued wire screening over the holes to let the water drain and to hold the dirt in! Then we added a layer of rocks to act as a drain field! Then the dirt and tree with a layer of mulch on top! Way cheaper than buying a lawn container that big and deep for the tree!

I have used these cans for years and they have been great, but the form has now changed and they are no longer stackable with previous versions. Also stacking with like cans is now more tedious as the handles must align first. All for no apparent improvement except looks.

Not as good as one would expect.

It's definitely tougher than the lidless 77L Scepter it replaced, but just as bad as keeping out the flies; the lid doesn't seal to the can, and I ended up having to use two cam straps to keep insects out of my garbage. Even with that, I opened it last night to put in some gently used diapers and noted a few hundred fly eggs laid on the garbage bag at the edge of the can where the lid meets it and overhangs by enough that flies can still get close, and I'm quite sick of finding maggots in my garage every day. Having a silicone gasket in the lid and hooking it 360° to the can would make it much better, and increasing the thickness by 50% would justify the name; this may as well be labeled Plano.

Very heavy duty garbage can, along with sturdy wheels. The can sets higher than a regular garbage receptacle, which makes it easier to tote back and forth to the curb for the sanitation/garbage truck. I highly recommend this product, even though it is a little pricey. I believe that the quality will outweigh the higher price point over time.

Recycling has been a hassle--not that we don't like to do it, but we were using alternative containers that the sanitation guys just threw into the truck! Twice! I had found a large, blue recycling container on wheels but the lid was virtually impossible to remove once locked. The whole thing was off balance and cheap, and is now full of cracks. THIS can, however, is strong, durable AND blue (with the recycling logo), and hopefully the sanitation guys will recognize its purpose. I purchased the 20-gallon can and got the appropriate lid from another vendor. I also splurged and got the round dolly to make my life easier moving the whole thing to the curb.

I gave this two stars because as a garbage bin it is fine, seems to be good quality and pretty sturdy. My main problem with this item is that it does not come with a lid. I suppose I should have realized this from the add as it is pictured without the lid and does not say it comes with an add... That said, I think it is entirely reasonable to expect a container which usually has a lid to come with said lid. Additionally, if it does not come with a lid, it should say that it does not come with a lid. Again, as a container it is fine, but I find the lack of a lid or notice that it does not come with one inappropriate.

I purchased this product online. I made sure that it was the trash can with a lid. I live in Florida where if we get just one passing shower during the day we count ourselves lucky. it is also hot as the devil's butt cheeks and no one wants to smell baby poop that has been roasting in the sun. Can is dropped off but no lid. I contact the store and the 1800 customer service line. what I was told was even though there a 5 Home Depot stores in my area no one has trash can lids. The lids are showing up in their inventory, however when you go to or call a store there are none available. To purchase a lid from another company is almost the same price as the trash can. The only reason I'm even giving it the one star is because the customer service reps were excellent in listening to my issue and trying to find a possible solution.

Excellent Quality Can

I bought two of these cans to replace my old Rubbermaid ones which had served me well for over 10 years. The reason I chose this design was over all durability and the bottom grip to make it easier for my trash men to pick up as well as the lid being vented. A couple people commented the lids didn't fit. They are vented which means they aren't going to seal the can shut. The vented lid is to keep the can from smelling gross and you have to learn how to put the lid on correctly to keep it on. You can tell the lid is on right when both sides "snap" into place. One person bought plant dolly's to move the cans around. Mine are always loaded and too heavy to lift and I don't want to drag them. I simply use my 2 wheel hand dolly to move them to the curb.

Our trash people are constantly either tossing, running over, or just straight up taking our little square recycling bins that the city gives us. Or break them when tossing them like they're at the Olympics back onto the sidewalk or pavement. We got tired of this happening (and very recently it happened AGAIN), so I went right to finding something much larger that could hold all of the recyclables in one and wouldn't be back breaking work. Plus, sturdiness was clearly necessary. It came today, and I could NOT be happier with it! It's super SUPER lightweight for the size, and it actually really nice to look at. Hard to miss, and we wrote out address on it! There should be no reasons for it getting lost OR broken/ran over this time! I'll be grabbing a second one, too, just to have another on hand for those birthdays and holidays!

I've had issues with trash cans in the past. I drop a car on them and they splinter to bits! Happens every time. These cans will survive a car being dropped on them. I'm so glad someone stepped up to the plate to handle this ongoing problem of trash cans getting obliterated by cars that I drop on said can. If you haven't seen the video, go to Rubbermaid's web page for this product. They have a video where they drop a car on top of one of these cans. You'd think it would splinter to bits, but it survives. What did people do before Brute? They watched their trash cans get annihilated, time and time again, by the car that they drop on them. Sad. Thanks, Brute!

This trash can is the best way to store garbage outside. The snap closing lid keeps out all critters and small animals. Also no smell gets out. We had regular trash cans with lids that basically sit on top of the can but the animals were able to move the lid or just tip over the trash can. Not with the Brute. And this sale was great because it included the lid. As crazy as it sounds not all stores include the lid when you buy a Brute. Some stores sell the lid separately. Make sure you know that before buying. The inserts on the outside of the can really help with holding a trash bag.

I purchased two of these trash cans. They are a nice size at 32 gallons. The cans are durable and will hold up over time. My issue is the lids are a stiffer material and they warp and will not go back into shape. I even tried placing bricks on them to flatten them on really hot days when the material was a little more malleable. Unfortunately it didnt work.

I love this trash can! It is the perfect solution for my large family. Not only is it large and sturdy and practically indestructible, but it is easy to keep clean, too! The fact that the bottom is designed to twist on to a set of wheels (sold separately) is super cool and makes it easy to wheel around the kitchen because it is so lightweight. I went with the basic gray color because it looks nice with my stainless steel appliances and blends in nicely. I love that I can now fill a 32-gallon bag all the way to the top and then very easily pull it out and tie it up, ready for the dumpster. I will never go back to a regular trash can again and I have a feeling this can will last pretty much forever!

The Rubbermaid BRUTE 32G white trash can is used at all our events. It matches with our other Rubbermaid Brute products and looks extremely clean, even though its trash! We opted for the 32G because it is much easier to carry when full. Any larger could be too heave for a single person to carry. We use 50 gallon trash bags for this to ensure enough room for all the trash. For a trash can, this is pretty great!
