Bought the white set of 2 for rail installation. Read that some people struggled with the installation manual - well, we didn't even have one. So a bit of puzzling to figure out which part belongs where but finally made it. White set would have deserved to have white brackets as some photos on the webpage show (and we installed on white rails) - ours are black, also ok. Do like that the "inlet" can be removed to allow planting somewhere else w/o having to remove the whole planter. The distance keeper should have longer screws - we installed on a 5.5" rail. Quite heavy planters even w/o anything in them.

We have had two of these planters in brown for a couple of years now. They weather the Wyoming snow, rain and wind very well and continue to look brand new. Currently they are hooked to the railing on our back deck and look great! It would have been nice if there was some kind of cushioning provided to keep the metal hooks from scratching the railing, it was a fairly easy fix.

Important... this is not a *window* box, but a planter only meant to sit on the ground. It comes with no hardware. I interpreted the "window box" part of the description, as being able to hang. And, they have cutouts for brackets - but no brackets are included. And it is so heavy (20 lbs without dirt) that you won't be able to hang without. Very disappointed as I had to pay $62 to return them after exploring options to hang and not finding any alternative. Customer service stated that they were not advertised to hang. But these are called window boxes while others are referred to as planters. I hope Wayfair will at a minimum make the description clearer so others don't lose money like I did.

Nice planter box but I wanted a 72 inch long planter not 36 inches. My window needs a longer box. But I’ll keep it and shop somewhere else for what I need. I did type in the filter 72 inch planter without realizing Sol 72 was the name of the product. No size options were offered either. Weird because the box was delivered as window box 36. Confusing!

The boxes are sturdy

Really sturdy, nicely made boxes. The name is a little misleading since the “window” part doesn’t work well -I.e the concept of hanging them on the side of the house. These are really more “Railing” boxes. Since they’d only screw in at the top of the mounts, and my husband and I were worried they might yank out with the weight of the boxes, we ended up getting different mounts that felt more substantial to attach to our siding.

Elegant planter boxes add nice touch to entry area

The window boxes are very sturdy and have a hidden well for extra water, which is very needed in our hot Florida climate. We bought 3 window boxes which we have placed on the ground plus two tall planters all matching. The tall planters have the same extra well for water so do not need to fill the whole thing with soil. We have put crotons in the tall planters and they really look nice. Give some color to our white & gray house. We haven’t yet filled the window boxes but I am expecting we will put a taller annual in the center surrounded by smaller annuals on either side. I think this will make a big improvement to our curb appeal.

This item came with the box completely torn open on the top. I haven’t unpacked the box yet but I hope there are no pieces missing.

This is a plastic planter but the plastic is thick and layered. It looks formal and handsome. The volume is large, encouraging good root development. It's from Canada and is guaranteed to survive frigid winters like the one that cracked my nice terra cotta planters before I knew any better.
