Solid product. A+
Well even though I have yet to take it out camping, I did open it up and it looks solid. All of the stitching looks nice and tight and everything seems to work as it should and seems very durable.
Coleman rocks!
I haven’t actually used it yet but, I have the 4 person instant tent and I love it. I wanted a bigger tent. I know I’ll love it as much as the 4 person tent. So so easy to set up. Haven’t experienced any wind or rain yet, so can’t comment on that part. Someone in the comments said they sprayed theirs with a water repellent. Sounded like a good idea…..I did the same. Looking forward to using it.
Good Tent for the Price and my use case
Extremely fast Setup! Ventilation was good enough for our trip. Did not care much for the twin zipper setup but will be functional enough for the use case of the tent I have.
Great Tent, Needs Fine Tuning
Pretty good first time out. Some of the waterproof tape is already peeling back and the door zippers keep getting stuck. Additionally, the tent stakes are extremely cheap and bend easy. Otherwise, I like the tent, easy to set up and if it wasn't for those minor issues, this could easily be a five star tent. Also, the dimensions are clearly stated but this is at most a 4 person tent.
Could be better
Easy to assemble, airy and comfortable. Poor Design. Door should be double centered, not just on one side. Entering the tent is difficult when there are two cots in the tent. One cot blocks part of the entrance to the tent. Zipper is difficult to close from the outside.
You can stop at this one perfect review! 😁
Phenomenal fall &spring tent! Seals up tight. Windproof and very stable. We use a king size air mattress and that leaves roughly 2' around the perimeter to walk or store clothes. We used a heater in ours for nights in the 40s and stayed very comfortable. Its single wall, so in the cool mornings the inside of the tent had condensation on the walls (occasionally dripping on the floor) but thats normal having 3 people (myself, my wife and son) in the tent and having it sealed up completely. The tent is absolutely water and rain proof, even if its pouring. We opted for the separate rain fly which gives added support but isnt absolutely necessary. It does allow you to open the top vents and windows if there's a chance of rain. The zippers are smaller than i expected but they all work properly. Every seem is sealed with seem tape and applied perfectly to cover the stitching but in a few cases it was up to the zipper. After using the zippers a few times they were quite a bit smoother than the first 2 or 3 times. The floor is thick and sturdy but we still used a ground tarp under the tent to he cautious. We also bought nicer tent stakes before we used it the first time but the stakes that come with it are pretty nice. Thicker than you would expect and we used those. This tent is an excellent pick for value, build quality, and brand recognition. We set the tent up in less than 2 minutes (including putting stakes in the ground) every time weve used it. It also packs into the bag without expanding the bag but the original bag is expandable if you want to put other stuff in it (we store a small hammer, the rain fly, and extra stakes in the tent bag. It holds a light in the center of the canopy or a light/fan combo and has personal belonging pouches in opposite corners of the tent. We have been very happy with the set up and function of everything so far!
Extremely disappointed in this Coleman tent
Despite what some of the older reviews said about this tent's inability to keep out water, I purchased the 6 Person Cabin tent anyway hoping Coleman had improved the design. I should have heeded the warnings. Literally 5 minutes after I set up the tent on a camping weekend, it started to lightly rain. Within minutes of the rain starting, I had water running down all the interior walls (See pics) and pooling at the bottom of my tent. As another commenter mentioned, not sure what WeatherTec means, but based on this past weekends excursion, I believe it to mean "If you really want to enjoy all aspects of the weather from within the tent, this is the purchase for you!"
Coleman 6-Person Instant Cabin is EZ
This tent is so easy to set up I can say it is truly an instant tent. When I bought the tent, I practiced the set up and breakdown in my backyard. I got faster each time. When we went camping a few days later, it really did take about one minute for me to set it up (not counting laying down a tarp, securing the tent stakes, or securing the guy lines). I set it up totally by myself. My old tents, with the tent poles, usually took me about 20 minutes to set up. So, I highly recommend this Coleman tent for ease of set up. In every other way, this tent is well made, comfortable, roomy (it fits a queen-size inflatable mattress with a little room left to move around and bring personal duffle bags inside).
[Rewarded Review] Its Waterproof
I finally got to use this tent it was sent to me in December and I wasn’t going to pitch it in my living room or in my backyard. I was waiting to use it for actual camping. I’ve used it twice now once in a very heavy rainstorm and it did not leak anywhere so I’ll give it 10 out of 10 for waterproof, it’s very easy Tent to put together. It was done within five minutes. I would definitely recommend this tent to a friend. Depending on how crammed you like to be in a tent, I would say this is more of a four person number six me and my husband and our two huskies had ample room .
Easy set up and sturdy
Bought this tent for two. Placed inside was a full size air mattress, a small side table, and a chair. And two additional friends were inside to hang out.
GREAT TENT
Simple design with user friendly poles and guy lines makes this a very easy and fast tent to set up with a single person.
The ghost tent 😆
I would have greatly appreciated having this tent as was needed in a time of hardship waiting for housing assistance from the government Coleman WeatherTech are long lasting and durable I've had one before and that is why I gave it a five star! the seller refunded my money, this was not the seller's fault it was irresponsible shipping practices by the handling in the distribution centers %26 destination carrier
Setup is super easy and straightforward!
The bag that carries the tent is high quality and seems like it would be hard to tear which is great for long term storage! The quality of the tent itself is great. It feels thick and made of good quality vs some other tents that are very thin and easy to tear. I was able to set this tent up in less than a minute. Calling it easy setup is an understatement. It comes in handy showing up to those campsites late at night and you just want to setup your shelter immediately
I wanted to love this tent…
I don’t write reviews unless I have a strong opinion on my experience with a product. I’ve been a lifetime Coleman purchaser, like my father and grandfather. I read some negative reviews about this tent not being waterproof, but I figured “it’s Coleman, it’s high quality, it can’t be true.” And I purchased it anyway. My husband, toddler, and I took this on a 7 night camping trip across West Virginia. Upon setting up our tent for the very first time I noticed there was no rain fly. I thought it odd, but again figured “Coleman knows what they’re doing, they won’t do me wrong.” That night it rained and we had our windows closed. The zipper teeth started leaking onto our beds. We finally had to go out in the rain, take the tarp from underneath and put it over our tent. It worked for 5 out of the 7 nights. Even when it wasn’t raining, the tent dripped a ridiculous amount of condensation on our blankets throughout the day. On the last two days of our trip the tent floor leaked and ruined our cots. The ONLY thing I loved about this tent was the ease of putting it up and taking it down. Even the zipper quality of this brand has declined, the door zippers were consistently getting stuck. Our two previous tents were Ozark Trail and even though they didn’t last longer than several years, I expected them not to. I paid for this tent to last a long time, not fail right out of the box.
Fantastic tent
This is the third tent I’ve purchased of this type not because they don’t last but because they do. They are incredibly durable and ridiculously easy to set up. They have a ton of height so Even my sons who are over six feet tall feel comfortable in them. Set up and take down is a breeze you never have to worry about a missing or damaged pole again. They have great air circulation. Zippers and seams last forever. My kids request this tent for a Christmas gift. Great product. You won’t be disappointed.
Worthless In the Rain
!st time out, it leaked! Leaked at the base of the 3 windows and in 2 corners where the bathtub floor meets the walls. Totally disappointed! At least I got it on sale.
Not Rain Resistant at all!
Bought in 2021, never used until this weekend for a camp out wedding. First light rain it instantly started leaking in the middle of the roof where the ring is at. As the day went on the leaking got worse. It was so bad the tent was wet from roof to floor with water droplets and pooling on the floor.
Will get instantly wet inside.
This tent is instant alright, instant regret after the first drop of rain. The only reason I gave it two stars is because it does only take 60 seconds to build. However, I am literally getting soaked as I try and sleep through a light to moderate rain storm in my first night in the tent. Whatever weather technology they claim is in this tent is non-existent. Please do not buy.
Raincoat required
This tent is supposed to be weathertec and unfortunately, even the lightest rain results in the roof leaking into the inside of the tent. We're homeless and saved up for quite some time to buy this tent and we were very disappointed and wet!
Great buy!
I loved this tent when I got it. A little disappointed in having to buy rainfly sepaprate. It is super fast to set up. We used in crazy storms and it held up well. It did leak a tiny bit but I had a table hitting the side of the tent so that was probably my fault. I obsructed water flow and caused gathering in the window seam. It's a great tent overall. I love most Coleman products I own....
