I bought this for a shower drain where I needed to go from a 2" PVC to a 1.5" thick-walled copper drain. It actually works (or at least fits), but I wasn't fond of the lower connection in that if fit around the copper rather that inside of it. Yeah, I'm sure it doesn't leak, but I just felt uneasy about it. There's another product by some other guys that more tightly secures to the lower copper drain that ended up going with.
