Don't buy

The particle board only makes up the frame. The rest, including the shelves, are flimsy cardboard. Tiny nails and thin cardboard makes up the back of the piece.

Perfect for my storing my craft paper. Was surprised to find the shelves were made of heavy doubled up cardboard but this just made it so I was able to get it in its forever spot by myself. Has a very nice frame that is real sturdy particle board.

1st this is honestly the worst product I have ever purchased I feel ashamed and guilty for the people who make and market this to people.2nd the package came crushed and smashed and the shelves are made out of cardboard which get ruined easy. I think I should be receiving 100% refund without return

Very poor quality!! Wood dowels utilized to glue boards together too long and cracked veneer coating when assembled

nothing close to being sturdy

i guess i learn my lesson to read reviews before buying. This item is literally made of cardboards and very loose fiberboard. I never thought ikea furniture would have better quality when i start assembly this organizer.

unfortunately it was not what i thought and had to be returned. (we needed it for our accounts department for their invoicing which wouldn't be suitable)

As you can see from the photo, I had to use my sewing machine to prevent it from falling to the side. This literature organizer was like a kindergarten project gone wrong. The ultra thin cardboard did not stay in place and the crumbly cardboard that was not big enough to cover the back came apart even after hammering the small nails. There are so many things wrong with this design and I was hoping it was just a deformity in the first one sent to me but once again it failed to deliver any satisfaction.

Fills the need...but a little flimsy

Apparently these organizers are hard to come by. I ordered a smaller one from another store, but the delivery was botched. So ordered this one. Easy to put together (but requires 6 hours for glue to dry before you can finish the task.) My main complaint is that the inside shelves are just doubled over cardboard and if you don't get them placed exactly, the shelves on the sides will bend down. I have my shelves filled to capacity with paper - which is what the unit is intended to be used for, but I am afraid that too much paper will make the outer shelves unusable. I guess that is to be expected for the price paid.

Nice and sturdy. Some of the plastic shelf holders come off. Other than that I really like.

Cheaply made and way overpriced. I could have bought the materials and made it myself for less than $50.

Cardboard shelves are useless

I was expecting something more substantial. The outer shell is fine but the cardboard shelves are not that strong and easily bend under the weight of papers. Expensive for what it is.

Not worth the price of admission

This case is made of pressboard and Cardboard; estimated life span in a normal office environment is about 6 months. Together, it looks good; but I am not sure of its' durability. Probably the worst case I have ever bought for an office in 40 yrs. On the plus side, Customer Service was great and it shipped the same day. Still, not sure it is worth the price of admission for the quality.

Great Craft Room Organizer

As a crafter, I struggle finding good organizers for storage for crafting supplies. This paper sorter (literature rack) is a great way to sort and store all my paper colors for my cardmaking hobby. I can see all my colors at a glance (and also determine low inventory) without digging through drawers. I use the 36 compartment model (I have 4) because they sit nicely on my countertops and still allow for working space.

Does the job perfectly.

We needed this to store our supplier catalogues and it does the job perfectly for us. As the shelves are cardboard we thought they probably wouldn't be that sturdy but once the plastic cross supports are fixed it's fine.

Wow I usally always get good products from staples, Not this time! This item is just, bad. It is mostly made of cardboard and even the card board is poor quality. It was very difficult to assemble and to note I own a auto repair station.

Way expensive for the quality you get. It has wood sides, cardboard back, and all cardboard shelves. It is not even put together with screws, wood dowels and glue. I am returning the 2 I just got.

Compartment Organizer

This was not at all what I expected. It did not go together well. The glue that came with it was useless it did not hold. There was slight damage However I kept this one because I already had to return the first one due to excessive damage

Extremely disappointed

This was the second shelf unit that I purchased for use at the office. [...] was in good condition, but THE DIVIDERS ARE CORRUGATED CARDBOARD! I couldn't find anywhere in the product description where it indicates that part of the product is cardboard (and not very sturdy, at that!) I was definitely disappointed, and at this point am not sure if I am going to keep it. Thumbs definitely down.

Fellowes Literature Sorter - 36 Compartments

Although fairly easy to assemble, the finished item is not particularly sturdy, could not take anything remotely heavy and unless I made some additions - adding some wooden supports for the divider shelves - I think it would have not really got used.
