Great pad- shorter than advertised

This is a thick rug pad and I appreciate the rubber surface in the bottom to keep it in place. Unfortunately it's at least a foot less wide than my new 9x12 rug leaving a noticeable gap underneath the edges. It's bulky so I don't plan to return it.

Rug Pad is Awesome!

I love this rug pad. The thickness makes your rug feel like you are walking on cloud nine with the cushion that it provides to my rug. It provides that extra level of security for my floor as well. I would also recommend this product to anyone with pets.

Really nice

Bought this to go with our new runner. This with the runner are the perfect combination. Super nice to walk on. Padding is really good quality. It was a really great buy for the price. If you're looking for a nice carpet pad, they have a ton of other sizes as well.

I put this carpet in my living room. I ordered a 11x15. It fits beautifully and with the non slip pad under it, it feels soo good. I purchased the runner and 2 other rugs from this brand. They are beautiful. I do not like the runner as much. It won't stay on the non skid pad.

Save Your Good Area Carpets with this Padding

Great pad for putting under my new area carpet. Beware...you will need a good pair of heavy duty scissors if it needs to be cut to fit your carpet. The pad is thick and of good quality and does not slip. Much nicer than the cheaper non-skid padding commonly used. Also reasonably priced.

The carpet pad runner is very comfortable to walk on and fits very closely (just short) to the size of the carpet runner. I found as the carpet runner sits on the pad, with the rubber side down, the carpet runner slides off the pad quite consistently. So I turned over the pad and the carpet runner stays in place a little better now but over time still walks off the pad. The carpet pad however, does not stay in place on the floor and it looks like I will need to buy some carpet stickers to make it stay in place.

I used this under a 6x9 rug on a vinyl plank floor. It provides just the right amount of cushion and keeps the rug from moving. I like that it is felt on one side and not all rubber/foam like some other products. There are no strong odors. The pad came folded so there were some creased but the rug on top flattened them without issue.

This is about the poor packaging/delivery. The rug pad was not in a box, only covered in plastic, which was ripped. Driver left it by garage, instead of front door, where it would be protected from the weather. Had it rained, the pad would have been ruined.

Nice and cushiony, bottom doesn't slip and rug stays put - doesn't slide off. A little pricey but worth it - great quality! Bought Mohawk Home pads for all my accent rugs!

I have bought this same rug pad in the past. This one is no different in that, as it ages, grainiy dust particles are shed from the bottom. If you have to lift or move the rug, they are obvious under the pad. I wish I could find a rug pad with a similar price that does not deteriourate like this. I have learned to live with it.

Just enough plush for my Loloi rug. Adds the cushion needed but isn't too light that it makes the rug sit weird like it's floating on the hardwood floor. Everyone compliments about how soft and cushioned my rugs feel. Also love that it's gripped on the bottom to prevent sliding

This pad is great, highly recommend! It’s pretty thick and adds nice cushion under a rug so it’s not so hard on top of wood floor. Once it’s down it’s VERY grippy! Do make sure you have it where you need it before you put your rug on top otherwise it will be hard to move.

Does the job!

These rug pads are excellent for low pile and flat weave rugs. Just a tiny bit of extra padding but keeps them from slipping all over. Might even make those miserable ruggables stay in place. These are the first Mohawk pads I have received that have an AWFUL off gasing smell to them. I'll give them a few days, but it's quite potent. I've bought more rug pads than I can count, the only other similar to the smell are the sheets of rubber bubbles without the felt. I have a few of these throughout the house, they have * not * caused any damage to my wood floors. The cut size is generous, so you will likely need to trim to fit your rug. Product ships in a clear plastic shrink wrap vs in a box.

This pad works very well. I ordered it bigger than my rug, because the recommended trimming is to 3 inches inside the edge of the rug. Trimming is easy with plain scissors. No special tools needed. The 1/4 inch thickness is perfect for what I wanted. It does not slide, and is safe for my hardwood floors. The rug does not move easily, but repositioning my small area rug was easy to get it in the correct space under the rug.

I opened the rug pad and placed it on a king size bed to get the wrinkles out. Soon the bedroom and adjacent spaces were filled with an obnoxious smell from the pad. I opened windows to air it out but the smell did not abate. After 7 days I moved it to my sunroom but the strong smell persisted even 4 days later. I am returning the pad and will stay away from Mohawk rug pad products.

I wanted something to keep us from slipping and add a bit of cushion under foot. This pad is wonderful. I watched several reviews to determine the best thickness and cannot agree more that the 1/4 inch supplies more than enough padding. I used regular scissors to trim off the excess. Super easy to cut. No more worrying about damaging our floors. Great product.

I used this rug pad for a thin woven rug over Pergo floors. It's thick and cushions underfoot without being spongy feeling. Just the right firmness. I did have to trim it to fit our rug, as expected, and I left the pad just an inch shy of the rug edge so it tapers and the edge rolls downward. The pad made my rug look and feel so much better and helps absorb sound, which is a bonus benefit I hadn't taken into account when purchasing. I have lived with it now for several months and, as it's under our bed, we walk only on three edges of the rug about 2' around the bed. This pad has held up beautifully! It's still feels new and hasn't crushed, even in the heavy traffic area. Would definitely reorder when I get my next rug.

This is a great, non-slip rug pad on the wood floor underneath a Safavieh Valencia rug in our home gym. We use this rug for a variety of workouts, from HIIT to cardio to yoga, which involve a lot of jumping, crawling around, getting up & down, and stretching. Without the pad underneath, the rug tended to slip a bit with any intense workout. Now it absolutely stays put, even with 2 full grown adults jumping around in tandem. The sizing was right on--because our rug is a few inches shy of 8x10, we expected to have a little excess, and we did. We used a self-healing craft mat, a carpenter's square, and a rotary cutter to slice right through about 4" of excess length, and the edge turned out clean and perfect. The pad added a bit of cushioning to our (already very soft) rug, but not so much that it feels squishy or unstable underneath, and our door still clears it with ease (but barely--we were glad we didn't go any thicker than the 1/4" pile on this). We're very happy with our purchase and would buy it again without reservation.

Mohawk Premium Felted Non-Slip Rug Pad

I purchased this pad for use with a Safavieh Mahal Traditional Grandeur Navy/Red Rug and am glad that I did. The Mohawk pad's composition works better, I feel, than the 'waffle pattern' foam pads I have used in the past under oriental rugs. This pad unfurls from its packaging with relative ease and is also easy to smooth out for a good, flat, under-rug fit.
