Mockingbird Drapes

I love this pattern and they look great on the window.

Very Pretty

Well made, well sewn. Fully-lined with a thin white backing. Light does come in, but is more filtered. Not a privacy drape per se. Beautiful lightweight curtains. Washable. Lovely birds & a muted leaf & flower pattern on drapes! I ordered another set! The price for these is amazing. A great deal for truly nice drapes!

Do not wash!

If you plan to ever wash your curtains, don't buy these! I bought them to coordinate with my Mockingbird quilt and shams. The sizing smelled bad when I received them, so I washed them on delicate in cold water and hung to dry. They shrunk so badly that they were at least 4" too short for my use. I really love the mockingbird pattern, so I would have altered these curtains to make them window-sill length, but it would have taken an awful lot of work, involving taking the lining fabric loose from the mockingbird fabric and re-making the whole thing. I have five windows in my bedroom, so I really didn't want to do that. Besides, I wanted full-length curtains. The problem stems from the fact that the mockingbird fabric is made of 100% cotton, while the lining fabric is 100% polyester. Of course, we all know that cotton shrinks and polyester doesn't. But when I read the description online, I thought that "cotton, polyester" meant the fabric was a mixture--which doesn't usually shrink. But no, it meant that those two incompatible fabrics had been sewn back-to-back to make the curtains. The lining and front are sewn together at the top and down each side, and the bottom is open. So that means that when the cotton shrunk and the lining didn't, the bottom of the lining hangs out of the bottom of the curtain by 3 or 4 inches. Also, the side seams then pucker and curl under instead of hanging down straight. My solution to the problem was just to return these curtains and put up plain white curtains. They look very nice with the quilt. I love the quilt and king-size shams.

Cute office curtains

Very pretty curtains. They are a little thin and short. There were not any sizing options. Overall, I really like them!
