Nice Desk

Nice desk. Fairly easy to assemble with two people, pieces were all packaged and labeled clearly.

Long/hard assembly, but worth it!

This desk looks very nice once assembled. One HAS to arm themselves with lots of patience and an assistant to put it together however. In all, it took us well over 4 hours to assemble, and my husband works in engineering! Comes in one 150lb box. Drawing only instructions, nothing in writing, are very confusing to follow, as assembly depends on which side you want to make the longest and which side you want the drawers. Pay close attention to getting the drawer hardware in the right holes. This information is very small in the instructions. Overall, I'm very pleased with the end results. Now, on to installing a keyboard tray!

Nice, but not robust

It is a bit of style over substance. The desk looks fantastic, but the top of the desk is more of a vinyl covering that will need to be protected. The compressed wood used in its construction is not very dense and quite light. You have one chance to fit screws or the hole just becomes too large. As many reviews have noted before, the instructions are horrible. C'mon Staples get after the manufacturer on this issue. Other than these points the desk is quite nice. It will just need a little care to keep it in good shape.

Great desk, confusing instructions, take your time

Fantastic desk, very spacious, looks very professional. It did take awhile to put together, but there are a lot of components and I took my time as I wanted to make sure it was done right. Everything needed was included, but if you have your own screw driver and alan wrench, or even a alan socket set, it helps a lot!

Lengthy and complex installation

The desk itself matches the photos and description and appears to be well built. As other reviewers have noted installation is a lengthy and somewhat confusing process. It took me 6 hours. The instructions are completely visual and some of the images are very small and hard to decipher. Part of the confusion is knowing what it means to be right facing or left facing - the instructions step you through the two different paths but don't give a clear indication of what you're going to end up with. What it means in practice is that the drawers are on the left in the left facing configuration and on the right in the right facing configuration, with the file drawer on the other side. If you have a strong preference for drawer placement be sure to choose the right set of instructions. Otherwise, the work surface and leg clearance are identical on both sides so either configuration will work for most people. The desk is also missing easy access to cables and power cords so it needs to be pulled a couple of inches away from the wall to allow clearance.

I did it myself but the instructions are small and not super clear. I took pictures of the more intricate instructions and then blew them up my phone to see better what they were trying to show. I would recommend putting the drawers together first, not last. I did this to be sure I was screwing the metal in the right way. I would recommend over the $2k desk I was going to buy - which looked great it was a must more cost effective choice!

I LOVE My Stylish New Desk!!

After reading the reviews, I was hesitant at first. But the beautiful design of this desk won me over. Upon receiving it, there were a few dents and rips in the packaging so we opened it right away. NO damage to anything inside, it was wrapped pretty darn well! We took inventory of all the pieces, everything was there. Please note the screws that attach to the handles are actually attached to the same plastic bag as the handles themselves, we were looking for those! It was relatively easy to assemble, my husband helped me and we got it done in about 2 to 3 hours. I made it more custom and sanded/repainted the few metal pieces with gold to match my decor. It looks amazing! Did I mention how happy with this purchase?! I have my computer set up in the corner of the desk where the two ends meet and it works perfectly. Be mindful of the actual top of the desk, it is easy to scratch the surface if you’re not careful. Such a wonderful option for those who don’t want a standard-looking desk!!

Large and modern desk

Purchased this desk for my home office. Very heavy box arrived at my door. I had to open the box and take it upstairs price by piece.
