American Standard Dual flush Flush toilet not flus

The toilet was not flushing properly. Even after installing a new dual flush valve, if there is solid material in the bowl, some times it takes multiple flushes to clear the bowl, and occasionally a plunger. I have tried everything American Standard said in the Chat, but it is not right. This is not a totally new problem, but it has gotten worse as the toilet gets older. I tried putting cleaners in to remove any hard water build up, but that doesn’t help. I am over 80 years old, and never had to replace a toilet because it went bad, but I have to now.

Good but could be better.

This is a good replacement unit. It was easy enough to change out. It came with zero instructions on adjustments and make sure you obtain tank bolts and gaskets for the bolts and tank to bowl connection.

This was an updated replacement. The changes were a definite improvement, and the valve works better than the original. Installation was easy, although the valve did not come with any installation instructions.

this flush valve works great when it is new. does not last over a couple years and it no longer seals and does not drop down to the closed position sometimes. this is my 3rd valve in this toilet.
