Retractable Awning Fabric Replacement - 16x10 Feet - Multi Striped Yellow

We have a Sunsetter Awning that had gotten all moldy -- they wanted $1600 to come out and replace it -- I purchased my Multi Striped Yellow on sale and we were able to replace it ourselves for just $70.

I seldom write reviews for products I buy. But this awning was one of the best products I have ever bought. The price was very affordable, and the product comes with DIY with clear and easy instructions. Well, most of the parts were already pre-assembled. There are just a few simple steps left to complete install the awning. I highly recommend Aleko Motorized Patio Awning.

Lovely awning

For the price, this canvas awning is a hit. We ordered the black awning and after one year the color has faded some. Probably expected with the darker colors. They're reasonably priced to replace as needed. It's a lovely awning overall!!

Totally disappointed in this awning. I was replacing a broken Sunsetter awning. The parts were cheaply made - plastic and thin metal which bends and breaks easily. Installation was difficult and had to pay someone $500 to install. The awning broke after 6 months. Total waste of time and money! I do not recommend this awning. If you do get it, get a warranty!!

Once installed the awning is great. Its the assembly and install steps that will take way too long and cause much shouted cursing. The manual appears to be written by the designer who knew all the secret steps and assumed you do too. Many of the assembly steps are vague and unclear and illustrations are not detailed enough. For example, sliding the three arms (L-1 to L-3) onto the torsion bars is not even mentioned in the written instructions. Had to watch a YouTube video to tell me, but the Aleko video failed to mention that you could install them upside down, and I did. Much later in the assembly it becomes apparent and will produce heartfelt swearing because you need to disassemble alot of steps to correct it. I ended up doing as much disassembly as assembly. There are several other examples of wasted effort caused by unclear instructions which I'll leave for you to discover on your own. There were 3 differing versions of how to program the remote control, two written and one video. Each vague and unclear. Took several hours and call to tech support to actually get it right. Note to Aleko...your instructions are worse than useless because they cause lots of unnecessary work and wasted time. What should have taken a few hours for me (an engineer) took 12 hours of grief and frustration. Note to customers...be prepared for a similar experience as described.
