Wanted to love it

I was excited to purchase this tent being an avid camper and experience using Kodiak and similar tents. Upon opening the tent bag I noticed that the stitching on the bag was coming undone and there was a large hole in the tent bag. I immediately emailed in the manufacturer and got a response quickly asking for additional photos which I provided 3 weeks ago and can no longer get a response from the manufacturer after multiple emails. I’m worried additional issues won’t be resolved if they occur.

Excellent tent

I love this tent. If you can get past the weight and the little extra effort putting it up and taking it down and the extra maintenance that comes with any canvas tent, you'll have a tent that will last you the rest of your life and will keep you protected in many different environments year round, and it looks cool. It's very roomy and comfortable for one or two people with cots but apparently will fit up to 6 people if just using sleeping bags. It's a little pricey, but well worth it.

I bought this tent primarily to provide resiliency to provide alternate reliable shelter in emergencies. From what I have seen to date, it has lived up to this description. It has repelled rain and from the construction, I can see it is far more reliable than lower cost nylon tents. The spring steel poles for support and the waterproof and very robust canvas I am sure will continue to provide safe shelter in storms.

Rugged, but has some issues.

This is a very rugged tent, but after an evening rain shower, there were wet spots and small puddles on the inside. There is the possibility that it is so tight that an extraordinary amount of condensation occurred, but either way, we don't want the water. A BIG issue for me was that it is PITCH DARK on the inside with the window flaps tied out. The screens are nice for privacy, but make it so dark that even with the windows up and the screen door open, I needed a light. Also, there is only a ring at the top of the dome to hold a lantern, but only one loop on one corner, so no place to hang a rope for clothes. With the fly on, there is no ventilation from the top vents because the fly rests on those openings. I was really hoping to love this tent because of the feature of the floor extending up the sides a few inches, but we ended up returning it.

Love the quality of the material and the color of the tent. Love the good structure should be a fun time camping this summer.

Great tent! Roomy and fairly easy to set up. The box it was shipped in could stand to be more durable. Box was torn at both ends and showed signs of rough handling. Apparently fed-ex is none to gentle when it comes to handling items .

Well Made, Heavy Tent

We were looking for a free-standing tent that didn't require us to crawl into it. The doorway is large enough so we can just duck our head to enter and exit. Fairly easy to set up, but it helps if you're at least 6 foot tall. It's heavy, about 70 pounds. I didn't measure, but it's roomy inside. The description says 10' X 10', so it's close to that. There are zip-able window flaps on the inside and outside so you don't have to go outside if you want privacy. Fairly good ventilation with large, screen windows on two sides, the doorway is screened and there are zip-able vent slots in the roof. Appears to be quality material and well constructed.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this tent and Tractor Supply had the best price with their sale ! I knew this tent was heavy when I purchased but when I picked it up I was a little intimidated on the weight and size . All the way home I was thinking did I make a mistake?? Well I get home and pull everything out and start setting up .first of all if you separate the poles from the tent it’s not that heavy . I actually set this tent up in about 40 minutes by myself and I am a 70 year old disabled veteran wounded in both knees hand arm and stomach, back surgery and heart bypass. I know with a little practice I can do a lot better time setting up. The quality of this tent is awesome well worth the money and definitely a four seasons tent. With two people set up would be a piece of cake. If I had it to do over would I purchase again ? Yes I would !

Made to last

This tent is made to last. Very heavy duty. Would not be afraid to camp in a windstorm in this tent.
