DO NOT purchase this product. It chips and peels.

DO NOT PURCHASE this set. We purchased late in June 2024. ALL 5 pans are chipping and peeling after only minimal use. The chipped materials, of course, have landed in our food.

I was initially excited to try out GreenPan cookware, given all the hype around its eco-friendly, non-toxic non-stick coating. Unfortunately, my experience has been quite disappointing. After only a few months of careful use, I've noticed that the pan is starting to chip. I followed all the care instructions—used only wooden or silicone utensils, never overheated the pan, and always hand-washed it—but the chipping still occurred. While the pan performed well at first, offering great non-stick capabilities and easy cleanup, the durability just isn't there. For a product that markets itself as long-lasting and premium, I expected much more. It's frustrating to invest in something that deteriorates so quickly, especially considering GreenPan's price point. Sadly, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for cookware that stands the test of time.

Worst pans on the market

I purchased this set less than a year ago and straight out of the box I started having problems. I noticed small nicks and scratches on the pans, but chose to overlook it and give them a try. Right off the bat everything stuck to these pans. Non stick is a hefty claim considering everything I cooked stuck to these pans. Eggs, stir fry, you name it - it ruined it. Countless meals ruined with these “non stick” pans. After a few weeks I reached out to the company directly and their response was laughable and they did NOTHING to help or resolve the issue. Customer service is lacking as much as these pans are. On top of that the nicks and chipping on the pans got out of control and the pans are completely RUINED after not even 6 months of gentle use. I am not hard on things and I take care of my pans and these look like they’ve been through the war and back. One star is GENEROUS and I hope this review steers customers away because I have never been more upset or disappointed in a purchase in my life. I will NEVER purchase from this company again.

I wanted to love these--review 1 year later

I so badly wanted to love these pans. I was looking to upgrade to a healthy non-stick option and loved both the beautiful design and functionality. The first few months they were amazing--but slowly over time, they have become completely non-stick. I've followed the directions meticulously (never used cooking spray, never put them in the dishwasher, cleaned them silicone sponges, bought the GreenPan sponge) and I'm so incredibly disappointed. Every single time I cook, everything sticks. I've reached out to GreenPan's customer support but they were unable to help me with this and suggested I do the same cleaning process I've done several times with no luck. Our last set of pans lasted 10 years--but these only made it 1. Wish I would have known this before I purchased.

1 week chipped

So excited, working with CURATED has been wonderful. However, this product Green Pan is devastating. Arrived packaged beautifully and we purchased “Sunrise”. It’s absolutely stunning.

According to the product overview on Wayfair and the research I did prior to purchasing the GreenPan Reserve collection, I was excited to find a set that meet my requirements and retire my previous pan set. As you can see from the photos, the 11" frypan is damaged and loosing cermaic finish around the edge. Non of the other cookware in the set has this issue, so I am assuming it is a manufacturer's defect relating to the 11" frypan. Note: this frypan has been utilized no more than 10 times since purchase. I have reached out to GreenPan Reserve directly for warranty replacment. BTW I have always used pan protectors - that fit not just the bottom of the pan but extend over the rim. The product description clearly states the pans are stackable. Response from GreenPan below - don't buy this product! "Chipping up to 1 to 2 mm is a perfectly normal occurrence because Ceramic coatings are very hard – i.e. in the same way as Porcelain Ceramics are hard but not very flexible. If chipping is present along the rim, it is recommended to use pan protectors."

Easily chipped and not worth it

Purchased this set from Willams Sonoma in January 2023. Less than six months later (after purchasing all new silicone spatulas, spoons, etc) all of my pans were chipped around the edges. I washed them properly (with the correct sponge), stacked it with the felt liners, used only silicone utensils and they still look horrible. I finally called Williams Sonoma after 7-8 month, they referred me directly to Green Pan, said they could only help within 30’days of purchase. They did say Green Pan has a 1 year warranty. I proceeded to contact Green Pan by phone and then email (including photos that they asked for). Their response was it was normal wear and tear- absolutely ridiculous. I w never had pots and pans damaged this quickly. Obviously their warranty means nothing. Definitely not worth the money especially since I followed all of their instructions on how to care for them.

Good product, poor customer service

I’m not writing this review based on the quality of the product which I’m sure is great, but I’m basing this review on the poor customer service from Williams Sonoma. I purchased these pots and pans for my son and daughter-in-law‘s wedding and the price went down by $100. They would not give me a price adjustment even though the box has not even been opened and we’re still available to return. I would’ve happily spent that $100 in the store and purchased something else but they would not budge. If I had purchased these for myself, I would’ve returned every item I bought from Williams-Sonoma. Also, I purchased another item for a friends wedding and then I got an email that it’s backordered until December 21 of 2024! Seriously! So half of these items were purchased as a set, and I don’t believe any of them will ever come in, so she will have half of the collection she wants but then they won’t let her return any of it. Very poor customer service. They will use my money for the next 13 months until they tell me that the items are no longer available.

Fantastic set, but ceramic coating needs gentle care

I've had this set for 2 years. It's been a great set, but I have to say after about 1 year of frequent use (4-5 times a week) the frying pans seriously need replacing. The ceramic coating is not really nonstick anymore, and when we tried to use a melamine pad to restore them to their original luster, it only made the problem worse. The black coating looks like it completely rubbed off in some areas and is now a coarse light grey and hard to clean. I will say the first few months my fiance was unaware that they needed special care and used olive oil at high temperatures and ran them through the dishwasher. I wouldn't be surprised if he also scrubbed with the wrong sponge without me knowing. I would purchase the pans again and make sure he is more careful with them from the beginning to see if that helps their longevity. I really appreciate the stainless steel and nontoxic materials. You CANNOT use metal utensils at all. We thought we could get away with gently mixing pasta and it scratched right away. We've had no issues with wood or plastic utensils. The stainless steel outside has also yellowed and stained a bit, but that's just cosmetic so it bothers me less than the nonstick aspect fading away. Might just replace the entire set because it's less expensive through world market than other sites and I enjoy the dark interior as staining is less visible. Overall I would recommend these if you are willing to follow ALL care instructions consistently. Our pots have held up quite nicely and aside from the outside discoloration they are as good as new. The handles don't get hot and have a heavy/sturdy feel to them.

Looks aren’t everything! These chip and scratch!

Crate and Barrel- I’m surprised you continue to carry this set after reading other reviews from customers with the same experience I am having… clearly this product doesn’t represent your brand well. This is my second set of Green Pans and although this set is beautiful they’re a complete waste of money as they have chipped substantially after just a couple months of use. My husband purchased this set for me for Christmas and I was immediately impressed at how pretty the set was! While unboxing the set I did notice that the rim of a couple of the pans already had chips out of the non-stick coating. Still I was so enamored by the looks of these pans that I wanted to believe it was a fluke and they would be a good quality set. I’m not going to lie- our original set of Green pans chipped and scratched easily also but we paid a fraction of the price of this new set so I guess it didn’t bother me as much. Naive me assumed that Green pan may have improved their product for a higher end retailer like Crate and Barrel. WRONG! Looks like Green Pan simply made their cheap pans look pretty and doubled the price tag but it’s the same inferior product that I had before. Knowing my prior experience with Green Pans and that they can chip and scratch we made sure to baby this new set (only hand washed, used plastic and silicone utensils, etc) and look how much they have chipped after only 2 months of use! What a waste of money! Sadly I am going to have to return these…I wanted to love these, I really did.

Beautiful but not practical

We read a lot of reviews across different sites before selecting these pans. I knew that there were complaints about scratching and chips, so was expecting that will happen. However, I was surprised at how quickly the chips appeared. We followed all instructions. We used two separate pans one time each, one with olive oil and butter in the other heated on low before increasing to medium, without exceeding medium. Used silicone utensils. Allowed to cool after use and hand washed / air dried. Both pans chipped. One on the exterior color by the handle but on the side where I’m not sure how it came in contact with anything since the pans weren’t stacked. The other had multiple chips on the upper edge of the pink and the top of the ceramic part. We purchased these instead of stainless steel because I wanted to have something a little easier for every day use with kids in the house, but from this detail you can see how they aren’t very practical if you’re getting them to use for every day cooking expected at a normal level for a family. They’re pretty, but will be chipped so easily that it’s more of a set just for looks, and at the price point I imagine most people would not be happy with the quality. We got them knowing they’d be a cheaper option to the stainless steel and copper pieces we’ll buy. However, I also have pink pans from other brands that have stood up much better over more than a year of frequent use where I’m not nearly as careful. So depending on what you’re looking for, I would recommend going with a different brand.
