Excellent product. This is third set in six years. Tree keeps growing and after three years of leaving out in weather, time for new set.

Do not leave attached to the tree for too long.

We have not hung the hammock up for months but have always left the straps attached to the trees. The straps have been on the trees for about 2& 1/2 years now. I recently decided to put the hammock back up and when I went to lay on it, both straps ripped off and I fell flat on my back. The straps had deteriorated so bad. They were however good quality when new and very easy to install. Just not meant to be left out in 2 years of weather. Hope this saves someone from the same demise and a sore tail bone.

After many years of sitting in the closet, it came time to finally hang our Central American hammock. I initially thought I would simply use nylon rope, but elected to go with tree straps as they are considered kinder to the trees. Going to the Walmart site, I found the set that I wanted, and made the purchase.

Hammock straps are a success

We bought these straps in hoping to hang a hammock near our firepit between two trees. They worked great. they hold enough weight for two of us to be in the hammock at one time.

Tree Hugger Straps for hammock

The straps and hardware are premium, but the stitching tore completely loose after just 3-4 uses!For that reason only, I cannot give a better rating. I am making them work, though, by the tying the straps in knots above the lowest large branches.
